My Experience with A & M Solicitors. I wholeheartedly recommend Ian Anderson and Helen Wrigg at A & M Solicitors for their excellent legal support and genuine care during challenging times. Ian secured very favourable outcomes for me twice, including getting all police charges dropped and also helped me receive a spent caution on a previous case, I was very impressed by his legal skills and dedication. Helen provided crucial support and guidance whilst in custody. Her clear and proactive communication with my family was also greatly appreciated, easing our worries. Overall, Ian and Helen provided not just top-tier legal service but also deep empathy, consistently going above and beyond. Before instructing A&M Solicitors, I had been represented by a solicitor from another firm whose approach left me feeling unsupported and unprepared. As a result, I took complete control of my case — preparing detailed legal arguments and defence bundles myself. At my first hearing at Preston Magistrates’ Court, the court’s legal adviser, having become aware of the complexity of the issues I intended to raise, asked that I consult the duty solicitor. That solicitor was Mr Shaun Finnigan (solicitor advocate). Although I was initially hesitant, Mr Finnigan immediately recognised the work I had done and treated me with professionalism and respect. He understood the legal issues and advised me to elect for trial in the Crown Court — a decision that ultimately proved correct. He then instructed a barrister from Exchange Chambers and ensured I had a proper pre-hearing conference to plan the strategy. The barrister took my instructions and filed a case note on the court system, which, when reviewed by the judge, the judge raised concerns, prompting the prosecution to review the case. On the day of the Crown Court hearing, Mr Finnigan checked in with me throughout, kept me informed, and ensured I was fully supported. The prosecution ultimately offered no evidence, and I was acquitted, with the judge delivering a not-guilty verdict within five minutes. Mr Finnigan’s clear communication, sound judgement, and human approach made a real difference, and I’m grateful for the role he played in securing the outcome. Mr Finnigan is an asset to justice.

Bal and his team have been exceptional, I've known them for nearly 3 years now and at every step of the way, they've delivered perfectly. Bal took my case directly and never relented, got the result we deserved and looked after me the whole time. I was always put at ease, despite it often being a difficult period. Highly recommend!
