AllSqaure Law are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I was in the process of seeling my leasehold flat which is managed by GEM/Anthem where AllSquare is their appointed legal team. Initially we request a management pack which although expensive they responded within a reasonable time fame and provided to us how to purchase one. This pack delivered around 2 weeks later than promised. There were significant errors in this pack with out of date service accounts, building insurance out of date and for a different property and incorrect invoices. My solicitor was chasing these issues for over 2 months without any response or replies to his email. During this time I tried calling but, you sit on hold for 10 minutes before being able to leave a message which is never responded to. The few times I was able to get through you speak to receptionist who transfers you to the appropriate party where they never answer and you get sent to voicemail which again never gets responded to. Both myself, my solicitor and my estate agent sales progressor was sending emails without reply. I’m not sure what got their first reply to us but I was emailing all AllSquare emails I could find online, calling their different numbers I found, messaging directors on LinkedIn and their former colleagues who started spin off Law firms under the same QDime group. We also started a case with the Ombudsman however, I recommend starting this immediately when you don’t here anything from them and this is a very long process which we started too late. Even once we received responses, they were unhelpful and often stating we will get this to you in 5-7 working days, after this time radio silence or maybe a follow up email a few days later asking for clarification on what we have asked followed by another 5-7 working days email. My property sale to a first time buyer with no forward chain took seven months, AllSquare Law caused around 4-5 months of delay, stress and financial struggles. My best advice to someone in the same position would be to also contact your management company (Anthem in my case) as although they cannot always provide you with the information, but they were atleast somewhat more responsive. If you are reading this far down in the review, then I’m sure you are in the same position I was in and I can only sympathise and apologies. I was able to sell my property in the end so it is possible!
Following my shambolic dealings with Anthem Management trying to secure a simple certificate for nearly 12 months now (would be funny if it hadn't caused so much stress), they have now decided they need to involve Allsquare Law, as they apparently don't have the authority. All part of the same umbrella corporation you see.... Sadly, it's the same story as Anthem. Phone calls unanswered. Please leave your details and we'll get back to you... no response to any of my phone calls. Emails sent.... any response? That'll be a no. So I am stuck in a financial purgatory thanks to these jokers. I am recording every phone call and email and am sending to the Ombudsman. I am also considering withholding paying Anthem service charges in protest, although I'm sure they'll rapidly be in touch about that with all manner of threats, telling me how important it is to respond immediately. Oh, the irony.
Woeful experience with AllSquare. Unfortunately they were involved in our attempts to sell a leasehold flat, being the representative of the landlord (freeholder). Communication was terrible, their delays were enough for one buyer to get cold feet and withdraw. If you can avoid dealings with them I would. Worth a brief mention is Simon Willans - the only individual of any merit that we dealt with, the only one who would pick up the phone and have any motivation to represent the firm professionally.
My buyer is in need of getting a Deed of variation done before selling and this is the law firm dealing for the management of the property. We can’t progress without this. We established that the DOV was needed 6 weeks ago and they have not done anything yet and the process from start of application can take 6-10 weeks, which obviously hasn’t begun. Cant get through to them. After 15 minutes on hold they cut the call off. Please avoid at all costs. Clearly from reviews they are happy to take money asap but not do the work!
AllSquare law represent the estate management company for my property. I am selling my property and we only now await AllSquare law to answer 2 enquiries raised by our buyers solicitor to conclude the sale. However, AllSquare Law have been elusive for the last 3 weeks - it is holding everything up and we are now close to missing the exchange deadline for our new property as a result!!! I have tried to call AllSquare law over and over again, yet no one picks up the phone. I have left emails and phone calls and still nothing. Ultimately our estate management company have instructed AllSquare Law so will be equally liable if everything falls through In my opinion. We just need AllSquare law to answer the enquiries raised by our buyers solicitors - please ….?
