Well, where do I start. I started my hearing loss claim 2.5 years ago and have just been told I will get nothing. My case went beyond timescales as it was forgotten about around a year ago. Never got updated without chasing and now just been sent a letter to sign saying they cannot act on my behalf anymore. Yet clearly being exposed to excess noise in a previous job and my hearing is clearly damaged, they can not get this case over the line. I was also informed by a member of their staff "it is very rare hearing loss claims go wrong and it is clear you hearing isn't great after reviewing your test results". Now they say I can't claim. A complete waste of time. It's gone on years now, constantly wondering what is happening, with zero updates. Do not let these lead you in to a false sense of hope. Even if you clearly have hearing damage following previous employment, do not listen to them saying you will likely be successful. If I could give 0 stars I would. Pointless waste of time!!

I am now 3+ years into my MOD hearing loss claim and have recently been added onto the Matrix Register with a further deadline. Still unsure exactly what the outcome will be. I get regular text messages keeping me updated on my claim. Usually explaining that there's a backlog from the MOD. I have been passed to various claim handlers throughout my case. All the staff are polite but don't like to give much away. Maybe I'm just getting impatient. However, some of my friends from the military have also used BC for an MOD hearing loss claim and have now been compensated. It's starting to feel like a long stint but I am hoping for a positive outcome. 5* review pending... !!
