We recently used this firm to obtain an affidavit notary, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The team was professional, efficient, and very helpful throughout the process. They explained everything clearly, ensured all documents were in order, and made what could have been a stressful task feel very straightforward. We were particularly impressed by how quickly they arranged everything and how approachable and friendly they were during our visit. It gave us real peace of mind knowing we were in good hands. Highly recommended for anyone needing legal assistance or notary services.

Please please avoid this firm at all costs!! It took over 2 years for a probate case (which they didn’t even finish as we got so fed up with it we ended it unresolved) We experienced months of them ignoring emails for updates, no communication, high staff turnover, and little care or acknowledgment that behind this “case” was a family grieving and waiting for closure on a terrible chapter of our lives. When I raised a formal complaint I was still ignored, no apology, no explanation of how or why we were being ignored and they were more concerned about protecting themselves. I CC’d in every partner of the firm, so that they were all aware of our terrible experience. Still, no acknowledgement. They just don’t care. To top it all off, when we received all the paperwork on record it included paperwork of another customer including this persons confidential details. A terrible firm, with partners at the top who think they are above providing satisfactory customer service and are happy to bill and pay themselves out of the estate while you wait months for an email response. AVOID!! EDIT: Since posting this review, partners of the firm have contacted me and acknowledged my complaint and validated my experience. I do feel overall the initial poor experience was due to the staff member overseeing our case, who now no longer works at this firm and so I accept their apology. I have been reassured that going forward they will change the way in which they respond to complaints. I appreciate them taking time to meaningfully apologise to me.

I needed a service contract drawing up within a fairly short time, and Charlotte Higgins provided a very responsive service that enabled me to meet my tight deadline. She gave eactly the service I want from a solicitor - they provide the 'standard' (albeit personalised) draft, I provide my own input, and they fine-tune the document so it is legally robust. I have been very happy with the service I received and will return.

We have used Bell and Buxton three times now and have had a first rate experience each time. David was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was a pleasure working with him and we would thoroughly recommend.

I would not recommend. The firm has taken on too much work without enough resources. I used this firm for a house sale. Sam and Lucy missed some checklist items and were unavailable when needed. All ended up getting resolved and pushing through, but it was a very stressful experience. Also, I reported my frustrations to the firm and Sam. Sam was arrogant and borderline rude, but the office manager was very kind.
