In our previous experience of Solicitors in a professional and personal capacity, we have found that their service generally falls well short of what someone in need of legal guidance deserves. Often, they have a very fixed criteria of what cases they will pursue, which tend to be the more simplistic, time-saving and obvious ones, with a more ‘clear-cut’ chance of success. Even when an instruction is taken on, they can be expensive, difficult to contact, and lack the personal touch required during a stressful time in a person’s life. However, we have been so fortunate to find solicitor Ben Dures. He encapsulated all that we had hoped for from legal representation. Ben took the time to listen to the detail of 2 separate legal matters, which had a certain complexity, and were not clear-cut, as most issues in life rarely are. He possessed the courage and integrity to pursue both these matters on our behalf against a large public organisation, giving wise guidance and counsel to us, and liaising with the defendant in a manner that displayed great experience and expertise. Ben maintained contact with us, keeping us ‘in the loop’ at relevant times. He was supportive and approachable in a way that was very much appreciated, particularly as my partner has an enduring health condition. My fiancé and I have never had unreasonable expectations of a Solicitor, but Ben surpassed our hopes, and achieved an agreeable financial settlement in one of the matters, and a suitable resolution in the other case. Ben's fees were very reasonable, and we would encourage any person in need of legal advice in the fields that Ben specialises in to consider making contact with him, as we are so pleased we did and grateful for the support he gave us.
