In 2021, I attended Bhavsar Patel Solicitors, located at 116 St Peter’s Road, Leicester LE2 1DE, regarding my divorce case and the cancellation of my spouse’s visa. My concern was that my spouse had used the marriage solely as a means to enter and settle in the United Kingdom. During my initial consultation, my case was handled by Mohammad Bhavsar Patel. I specifically asked whether my spouse’s visa would be cancelled following the divorce. He clearly advised me that it would be, stating that my spouse had entered the UK based on my supporting documents and that, without a valid basis to remain, her visa would not be extended and she would be required to leave the country. I relied on this professional advice. However, after engaging the firm and paying the required fees, I experienced a serious lack of communication. I received little to no updates regarding my case, despite repeated expectations of progress. The matter was eventually concluded after approximately one and a half years, in December 2022. Despite the assurances given to me, I have since discovered that my former spouse remains in the UK, is working, and has had her visa extended. This directly contradicts the advice I was given. I feel that I was provided with false hope and misleading information purely to secure legal fees. Furthermore, I have now learned that the same solicitor has taken on my former spouse’s case to support her application for visa extension and settlement in the UK. I find this highly unethical and deeply concerning. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Bhavsar Patel Solicitors and do not trust their professional integrity. I would strongly not recommend this firm to others. I also urge government authorities and UK immigration services to exercise greater vigilance when granting visas. Individuals who exploit relationships to enter the UK raise serious concerns about what they may do to remain. The UK Border Force and immigration authorities must be far more careful in assessing such cases.
