Really disappointing and unfortunate service throughout the house buying process. Our initial solicitor (who was totally on the ball) left without our knowledge and our file wasn’t passed to anyone to deal with, this wasted lots of time. When it finally was given to a new solicitor they were clearly so busy they really didn’t have time to handle our file. Instead we spoke to the solicitors clerk who frequently got things wrong, gave us wrong information and tried to fob us off. Had we been told our solicitor was too busy when our case was handed over we’d of found a new solicitor but instead the only time things got done was when we complained and spoke to the director of the company. We were very thankful to her but it shouldn't have to take complaints to get work we were paying for done. Had we not badgered them most days (which made them quite blunt and offhand with us) I doubt our work would have been done. On the day our house sale went through our sellers solicitor confirmed we could have the keys before 1pm, yet b&D didn’t confirm the sale until almost 5…. The icing on the very sour cake and summed up the entire experience. Overall made a stressful process the most frustrating and mentally draining experience possible and took the shine off buying our home.

Very poor customer service. You would hope that first impressions would hook you in. I felt so angry after my call where I was passed to the family department, instead of telling me straight away the Solictor was on holiday, I talked for five minutes only to be told I was speaking to her secretary.
