I wholeheartedly recommend Brodies for family law. I am indebted to Sarah and her team for their hard work, support and guidance. Sarah's understanding, empathy and experience in our first meeting provided me with the reassurance I so desperately needed at a time when my trust had been eroded, my emotions were high and I was not only navigating my own feelings of uncertainty but those of my children. Sarah's ability to simultaneously show sensitivity to my emotions whilst dealing with the legal process in a calm, efficient and balanced way shone throughout. At all times Sarah kept me informed, provided drafts of every correspondence, always respected my thoughts and opinions and answered all my questions quickly with clear concise answers. The professionalism, compassion, and perseverance displayed by Sarah (ably supported by Eildh, and Yve) guided me through what was a highly complex situation with many unexpected twists . Unfortunately, my experience with this firm was not what I had hoped. There were serious communication issues throughout, and I felt key details were either misunderstood or not properly considered, despite providing information in advance. I was given reassurances around cost and clarity, but those didn’t match how things played out. The tone and handling of a very sensitive matter felt overly clinical, with little regard for the emotional or human side of the situation. Ultimately, I left feeling let down, not by the legal outcome itself, but by how the entire process was managed. I wouldn’t recommend for personal or emotionally complex matters.
