I’m happy to review the outstanding service we received from BTO Solicitors, especially from their paralegal, Colin Carmichael. In April, Colin assisted us with the sale of our home in Glasgow, and he was incredible throughout the entire process. I initially contacted BTO a few months before the sale to plan ahead. Colin quickly located our old deed, provided a clear breakdown of their fees, and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Once we had a contract in place, Colin was diligent in communicating with the buyer's solicitors, ensuring everything went smoothly. He was excellent at explaining each missive, highlighting the key points, and always advocating for our best interests in his recommendations. His thorough knowledge of UK transaction customs, especially those specific to Glasgow, was invaluable. Even after the sale was completed and his fee paid, when an issue arose with the property, Colin continued to provide legal advice and support. He was always a calm and wise presence, offering sound counsel at every stage. I wholeheartedly recommend Colin and the team at BTO Solicitors for their professionalism and exceptional service.

The people here are very slow to respond. I can understand that somethings might take a while but if you have to wait weeks for a simple email there is something wrong. Without open communication it's hard not to feel left out in important matters. BTO has not made me feel like they care about my case sadly enough

I have submitted a review on BTO Solicitors, but it appears to have disappeared. I was represented by Paul Motion, and Laura Patriche on a prospective judicial review matter, they were both outstanding in representing my interests at the pre-action stage, and were successful in achieving the remedy that I wanted. I would highly recommend Paul, and his team if you have a judicial review or GDPR matter, and want a specialist to advise you in this area. The fees were very reasonable, and I have absolutely no recommendation for improvement as they provided a perfect customer service experience.

Very unprofessional and disappointing. After being the family's solicitor of choice for decades I didn't even consider looking elsewhere when we needed help appointing an executor and dealing with a very simple will. How wrong could I be? It took them nearly 14 months, cost over £4000 and during the process my emails would often go unanswered for weeks on end and on two occasions I discovered the reason was that the person assigned to my case had left the company, and it wasn't until I repeatedly contacted them that someone new was in touch. It took a complaint to one of the senior partners to gee them into action, otherwise I'd probably still be waiting. At the time of writing this I still haven't received any form of final receipt from them, or even a simple acknowledgement that our business has been concluded. I won't be using them again.
