I am very happy to share my experience with c&n defence and especially daniel hendry. He was a great representation in my case.. he was very professional, honest and most definitely “on the ball” in regards to any matters that arose! He explained all possible outcomes etc and actually made me feel very calm and in control when appearing at court! When my case began, I had no idea where to start. I’d never faced anything like this, and choosing a solicitor felt like a blind leap. With my case being taken to the high court, I needed someone I could trust to guide me through it. Matthew did exactly that. From day one, he cut through all the noise. He’s direct, clear, and completely devoid of the fluff you get from a lot of solicitors. He tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Across 18 months, he was consistent, dependable, and always quick to respond. He genuinely cares. His instincts were spot on—there were ideas I thought were smart at the time, but he immediately caught the weaknesses in them, and he was right every time. He knows the law inside out and understood exactly what could and couldn’t be done within the parameters of my case. His preparation for the High Court was exceptional. He wasn’t my advocate at trial, but he built the case that ultimately led to me being acquitted, despite the odds and the circumstantial evidence stacked against me. He also guided me in choosing the right advocate. Matthew carried me through a level of stress that felt unbearable. He kept me grounded, protected, and focused. He gave me realistic expectations at every turn—never once blowing smoke, never once misleading me just to keep me comfortable. My appreciation for him is beyond words. I owe so much to him and his firm. Worth every penny and then some. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
