I approached Katie Holmes and CKLG to provide tax planning advice to my family. As a qualified accountant, I knew what I was looking for but was struggling to find the right calibre of advisor. I needed a firm that could tailor tax advice to the very specific and unique circumstances of my family's financial situation and consider the complex interaction of different taxes that apply to a converted investment property (incl stamp duty, inheritance tax and capital gains tax). I had already spent significant fees with another firm but I had yet to pull the trigger on their advice as I was concerned that they had adopted a cookie cutter approach to my family’s circumstances. I was concerned that my financial situation might be too complex, but after the initial meeting Katie quickly put any worries to rest and I immediately felt comfortable with her. The tax planning report that Katie prepared was clear and concise. I knew that Katie had approached the issues correctly, both technically and strategically. She addressed each and every point that I needed advice on and had factored in all of the relevant history that I had provided. I wholeheartedly recommend Katie and her team to anyone in need of expert tax planning services. DO NOT use this company to do to your accounting – their absolutely appalling levels of incompetency led to me paying double the tax bill I should've, incredibly rude company director, and cost a small fortune to use. Was told I had everything I needed for my tax return when in fact I didn't, and they failed to tell me, letting the penalties build up, without informing me. Don't waste your time and money here – it's about 3 times more costly than a normal tax return accountant
