Reviews
I have found myself in need of legal advice twice over the last year. On each occasion, I was supported by the team at Conroy's who connected me with Liz who provided an exemplary service. Her knowledge of the relevant employment legislation was exceptional and she consistently provided me with excellent advice relating to both technical and practical considerations that allowed me to take the most appropriate action to achieve successful outcomes. I could not recommend Liz and her team any more highly.
They poach clients on mental health wards. My mother is severely mentally unwell, sectioned on a ward. So unwell she doesn't know her own name or what year it is, nevermind able to have legal conversations. Somehow she was approached by lucy from conroys and an appointment was made without her consent. I intercepted as soon as I found out, and the ward are now investigating. When myself and my mother's social worker called conroys, the unprofessional, rude passive aggressive person in charge of goodness knows what, was caught out on several lies numerous times. He claims that a person's mental health capacity means absolutely nothing to them.
despite convoys being known as a specialist firm who deal with law regarding disabilities I was not overly impressed with their lack of flexibility. when I made initial contact and I did not hear anything for over a week I was then told I had not been forgotten about. after waiting a further week I had a call from them where I told the girl on the phone I was happy for them to quote me for the work but I had strict timescales for issuing a claim. the girl on the phone seemed nice but did not seem to know what I meant by issuing a claim, which was slightly worrying. she then insisted that they only take on clients after they have had face2face meetings and when I asked for directions she said their office is above a chip shop, up a narrow flight of stairs and they don't offer telephone advice or advice by email or video call. I must admit I found this very surprising and do wonder how they survive relying on the locals only. luckily I found another solicitor.
Liz Conroy was most helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Employment related issue. Would recommend. No frills but she certainly knows her stuff.
