I would recommend Cooke Painter to anyone purchasing a property. Levi was incredibly diligent in helping me through the whole process. As a first time buyer I was new to everything, and Levi was very generous in giving me advice throughout. Through no fault of Levi/Cooke Painter's, my purchase was complicated due to problems that were unresolved the previous time it had been sold. Levi was knowledgeable and made sure that every single problem was ironed out before completion.

Recently completed a new purchase and remortgage of our current property to a buy to let with Cooke Painter and we had a great experience with them. Levi was exceptional with all communications and always kept us up to date with progress and help me with understanding everything. As someone with ADHD I can often overlook details and information in letters etc but Levi made sure I was aware of what information I needed to be aware of and helped guide me with what I needed to do so I didn’t get to overwhelmed. The staff were all really friendly whenever I had to pop any documents in, especially Jess. Thank you so much I’ll be recommending you to everyone and using you again in the future!

We were recommended this branch by local friends but were disappointed. We almost lost our sale due to their tardiness. We were eventually told there were staffing issues but communication was poor and we had to chase many days in a row without reply. For example we would send our property enquiries back within 12 hours and our buyers solicitor would receive them 1-2 weeks later. It was a very stressful process and could have been made better with clear communication and honesty. Apologies to write a negative review but we wouldn't use Cooke Painter again and feel it's important to share

I'm really gutted to be sharing a terrible review but I can't overlook what a stressful experience it was working with Cooke Painter. Our house sale took 5 months, Wajid was an exceptionally poor communicator and didn't represent us at all well. We had a huge amount of work propping up where he fell short on information provision, and he spent weeks failing to get information that a fellow tenant found herself with a little research. It felt like a farce and so, so expensive for the service. Perhaps a bit petty but the women in the office were so rude too - we visited 3 times and they barely managed a hello. So awkward and unnecessary. We would never use them again.

If you require a company that is unprofessional, unreliable and not prepared to be held accountable for their massive lack of accuracy then this may be the Company for you. Waiting 5 weeks for a draft copy of our urgent amendments to our wills; the urgent timescale being suggested and quoted by Claire herself. To then receive documents that contain massive errors including my Mothers details which were requested to be removed as she is dead. Not one request was correct, maybe because our wishes were scribbled on a scrap piece of paper which should have given us an indication of the lack of care and empathy. We were not important enough clients for them.
