I had the privilege of having direct access to Mr Richard Beddoe for a number of hearings during my case, many of which were sudden and came up with little time to prepare. I’d never been to court before, so naturally I was extremely nervous, but the direct access process was surprisingly straightforward to set up and Richard’s calm confidence made the whole thing feel far less daunting. The moment he walked in, my anxiety lifted as he brings sheer confidence, calm authority, and a sharp, clear knowledge of the law that immediately reassures you. He’s not just highly professional and focused, he has a brilliant, subtle wit that helps cut through the stress of the courtroom and keeps everything on track. For my final hearing, I then had the pleasure of being represented by Mr Cason Yong, whose ability and professionalism are outstanding, especially as a pupil barrister. You honestly wouldn’t have known; his confidence, clarity and precision when speaking in court were impressive. He is very easy to talk to and explains things in a way that makes sense, which is so important when you’re feeling overwhelmed by a stressful process. I am genuinely grateful for the calm, determined way he guided me through to the end. The Coram Chambers team as a whole have been brilliant throughout. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to Tosin Oguntayo for their outstanding representation during both the fact-finding and final hearings in my family law matter. Tosin, you are the man!! Tosin represented me back in March during my final hearing for my CAO. I had used several barristers from other chambers for previous hearings, with no success. Many were lazy, under prepared, etc. He was well prepared, calm and extremely professional. The hearing was done and dusted within two hours thanks to Tosin, leading to an agreement I was very happy with. Prior to the hearing, he made himself available at any time and was always willing to answer any additional questions that I had. He was also genuinely happy to have won my case for me. If you need a family court barrister, there is nobody better for the job than him.

My Barrister was Greg Williams. I had been in divorce litigation for 4 years, however the complexity stretched relatable data to 7 years. Greg, a conscientious and honourable man, like all good Barristers has a number of clients. However, it always astonished me how focused and in the detail of each aspect of the case he was, considering the sheer volume of disparate data. During the 2-day Final Hearing I watched as his agile mind complemented the attention to detail of his preparation to make him an impenetrable wall. The constantly moving parts of this case included, children, international finance and assets, income from two countries and a substantial inheritance. Yet he moved between each one, without missing one beat. It was clear that Greg had planned his case as if thinking of how the other side would act. This gave him an almost precognitive appearance not allowing the Respondent’s counsel room to manipulate or probe. It was then Greg unencumbered by the Respondent’s counsel was able to get to the heart of the problems, site case law and legal premise to allow the Arbiter the ability to see the facts of the case. Remarkable, akin to cutting the Gordian knot. Just remarkable.

Tosin Oguntayo represented me on a direct access basis for family court, both custody and financial. He did a phenomenal job. He went above and beyond over a two year period. He saved me and my child. 100% recommendation from my side, not sure what I would have done without Tosin / Coram Chambers.
