Emerald Law Solicitors were chosen for us to do the conveyancing by the lender from a panel of their solicitors. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. We had the pleasure of Heather Boyd and Karine Goguen to do all the necessary paperwork. Both kept us up to date on a regular basis and when we needed to contact them, they were both lovely and friendly to talk to and answered our queries. And when the conveyancing was completing and finally completed it was great to get a phone call from both Heather and Karine to congratulate us on buying our house. Five Star review to a great company for conveyancing. We would have no hesitation in recommending Heather and Karine.

We used emerald law to purchase our first property. Julie and Bethany were always extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions and the completion date was met. Fees were also £400 cheaper than any of my local solicitors. Also, with the deposit money you can transfer £1.00 to make sure you've got the correct details before sending over the whole amount. Once they've confirmed receiving the £1.00 you can go ahead and transfer the rest. Thank you Julie and Bethany :)

These people are lazy, unprofessional and unresponsive. They casually and regularly delay actions on their end. Delays can go as much as 3 months on a single action, and they only have a lame 'sorry' to respond with. They are good at trying their best to pin the blame on any other party they can think of to weasel out. Their app is only a show piece because they don't really update it. You have to chase them 2-3 times on an action to get them to respond and act. That is their pattern in a nutshell. Bolt even if they offer you money to do your work - it is not worth it. Update: property transactions are not inherently stressful like this incompetent firm's media manager seems to suggest. They become stressful for their clients because the presumably lazy and overworked coveyancers habitually delay actions and ghost clients, and have hence normalised their clients being stressed.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing due to a consistent lack of communication and responsiveness throughout the process. At one stage, enquiries had been returned for almost three weeks and had not even been reviewed. It was only after a formal complaint was raised that these enquiries were suddenly acknowledged and dealt with. The whole process felt disorganised and reactive rather than proactive. We could have completed weeks earlier, but delays caused by poor communication and inaction slowed everything down unnecessarily. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this solicitor. Having since read other reviews, it appears we were not the only ones to experience this level of service.
