Visited the Honiton office to ask about completion of Land Registry ID1 forms only (no legal representation). The receptionist was dismissive and made it clear my enquiry was an inconvenience. I was then quoted £450 per person for the ID1 verification. After querying this, I contacted several other local solicitors the same day and received quotations ranging from £5 to £120 for the identical service. I raised a formal complaint. The firm confirmed the fee was intentional and that they do not wish to undertake this type of work unless it leads to substantive conveyancing, and therefore price it accordingly. While the firm is entitled to set its own fees, the experience and pricing were wholly out of line with local norms. I would not use Everys again for routine matters.

These solicitors were suggested to us by the estate agents of the property me and my partner were purchasing, and throughout the purchasing process the staff at Everys were very professional and efficient. There were a few problems and delays throughout our purchase and Everys ensured that all our searches and preparation ware complete, taking a good deal of the stress off our shoulders and on top of that, they were easy to contact via email, and were fairly quick in their response. In regards to the information we were provided regarding our purchase, everything was clearly laid out to help us understand and any questions we had were answered swiftly. Me and my partner definitely plan on using Everys again in the future.

Really bad at answering the phone. If you phone the Honiton number it's put through to somewhere else, who then tries to put you through to Honiton, but 9 times out of 10 it goes to voice mail. Don't they have a reception?
