We have had to escalate this matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Fisher Jones failed to provide the deeds or official documents for the property. We have spoken directly with the seller’s solicitors, who are willing to resolve the situation, but they advised that the request must come through our solicitors. Unfortunately, Fisher Jones have refused to do this. They are now ignoring all communication. We truly regret ever instructing them and hope they may see this review and take action to rectify the situation. As a result of this experience, all family members have since used different solicitors for other legal work. Firms that care about their clients are recommended and gain more business; those that don’t are avoided. We now hope to reach a resolution through the Legal Ombudsman, as Fisher Jones have failed to respond.

I cannot believe the lack of communication from this company. When ever I ring to see how things are going Alex Wright in the Billericay office never calls back, I get excuses like, he’s with a client, in a meeting and the best one yet, his phone isn’t working!!!. How long would it take on a quick phone call or a text to keep me informed, unless I keep chasing nothing happens. I’m a 76 year old widow, I have lived in my property for 54yrs and this is the first time I’ve had to do this on my own, without any help or guidance from FJG. So bad. I am now two and a half weeks from what I told them at the beginning was my moving date, and nothing. I wish I’d never gone with them, I’ve told people to keep away from them if they want good service. Just unbelievable for a so called professional company.

FJG acted on my house purchase years ago, but their service has deteriorated significantly. Communication is poor, with repeated auto-responses and little meaningful follow-up.

I recently used FJG for both selling and buying a property, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their service. The process was quite challenging, as the property I was selling needed to meet specific requirements for the buyer’s mortgage lender.
