We used FHG as our solicitors to buy our first house. They were generally very attentive and worked hard to help the sale go through quickly. Most of the time they helped us to fix issues the day they came up, which meant that everything kept running very smoothly.

I have used FHG for a previous successful sale of a property, this time I used them again for the purchase of an old Victorian conversion flat with a complicated lease. So glad I used them. Moira Macfarlane and Bethany Jones were fantastic in the detailed reporting of the lease and enquiries finding irregularities which led to me pulling out of the purchase and glad I did. Excellent service, highly recommend!

I contacted this practice this morning in need of some help and spoke to a lovely lady on the phone who was very kind and helpful and a good, or so I thought, representation of the company. After speaking to her we decided to go into the offices in Brighton to discuss further about the documentation that needed signing. However when we spoke to the lady on reception I was so shocked. She was so rude and dismissive of us and told us to find another solicitors. She has no customer service skills at all and a complete and utter lack of empathy. It was very upsetting and I would never use this company again. After how lovely the lady was on the phone this morning, I was considering bringing business to the firm as I need a family solicitor but the woman on reception certainly changed my mind. I understand that people can have bad days and that work can be stressful but I honestly was shocked by the lack of empathy and rudeness from this woman. I never write things like this but I was so upset by what happened I felt like I had to.

Dont use this unorganised company. I'm the neighbour of a property purchase they are sorting out. Just got this email through titled "urgent". I'd like to point out these people aren't paying us but tried to make us into their free courier service . They told us that we had to get our neighbour to sign a document and help him find a witness which couldn't be us and return in person said documents to them by MONDAY (written in block capitals for extra bossiness) during lockdown- (illegal, but solicitors wouldn't know about the law since its not their field) because otherwise they will miss their deadline. The irony being if they'd not ignored our emails all week we could have done that for them. Find a company that replies quickly and doesn't dole out deadlines for your future neighbours at the last possible minute.
