As first-time buyers, we went with GD Legal because of their competitive pricing and “no sale, no fee.” Sadly, it was a mistake. • First property: We asked them not to start searches until our mortgage offer came through. On the same day the offer arrived, the sale fell through. Despite informing them immediately, we were charged £180 for searches they had already started. • Second property: We gave them another chance, but things got worse. Our case handler left, the replacement made us redo tasks, communication was terrible, searches weren’t started despite repeated requests, and even a formal complaint was ignored. We eventually switched to a new firm who, though pricier, have been responsive and efficient. GD Legal didn’t even acknowledge our de-instruction. Lesson learned: Don’t be swayed by the cheaper option. Pay for quality service — it will save you stress in the long run.

I have just completed the sale on my first house and GD have been excellent throughout the whole process. I first filled out a form for an online quote and around 20 minutes later I received a call from Lewis who talked me through the whole process of getting a solicitor and what to look for, as someone with no clue what they were doing at the time this was invaluable. Jieyi handled my case from here and was always available to talk and was very responsive with any questions I had. She made sure the sale went smoothly and completed in the time scale I wanted. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home!

I have to say - we've sold and bought property before but all of the other solicitors we have used have not been this amazing as G D Property! We had Sophie and Emily dealing with our case and whilst the seller's solicitor made their lives incredibly difficult, Sophie and Emily were both always really responsive, incredibly on hand to deal with any scenario and situation that came their way and handled with it quickly and efficiently. We had a really tight deadline in order to complete and at the skin of their teeth they have managed to get this done without too much stress involved. Thank you so much to the both of you for all of the hard work as we definitely wouldn't have got through this without them! Highly recommend.
