We were referred to Harold Benjamin when we needed urgent help with reassignment of the real estate. We did not know anything about the process or its details. I instructed this firm to deal with a purchase of a property at the tail end of last year and the service from one of the partners was terrible. Ric was slow, unresponsive and provided unhelpfully vague emails. I also had to constantly chase him for updates. I asked him to make a further enquiry with the Council as to the risk of subsidence and he told me that wasn't his role and so I had to do it myself. Terrible would not recommend.

We have to remortgage our properties both commercials and residentials together. InterBay sent the lists of solicitors to be used. For whatever reason I don't know , I picked up Harold Benjamin without checking their reviews. I contacted one of the solicitors on Harold Benjamin list . I did not make it clear to them that both commercials and residentials are to be on one mortgage. Everything was going well I was very happy. Then one day I got an email from the solicitors , that they would not continue to represent with the remortgage because is not in the area of their specialty. I nearly fainted ,but I cried. We had a deadline to meet.!! Then I got a call from Ric Mapp who assured me they would pass the case to one of their group that specialised in commercial and residential and told me not to worry about the deadline, that the group are very dynamic, they would meet the deadline . I was relieved a bit The next day I received a call from Aminul Islam " A man of Wonders". He said they were happy to represent us. I thank him The remortgage is one of the difficult ones. It involved a lot of forms, evidences , licences , swearing of affidavit, and many more. Aminul made sure all the documentations are complete and in order. Aminul will call me and said " Shatu we have to meet the deadline, they might not extend it. , call me anytime if you need any help" My communication is very poor, Aminul would take it slowly to ensure we both understand each other. With help from Aminul , 3 week before the dealine , the lenders confirmed all in order and completion in a week time. Couple of days after completion I received an email from the lenders with invoices for payment. I, without any hesitation I paid the invoices to Harold Benjamin. On that day in the evening I received a call from Aminul that I had already paid those invoices. An honest and trustworthy firm!! Aminul Islam represented us very well, and in a professional manner. I believe without his astute advice , encouragement we would have not meet the deadline. We will not hesitate to recommend Aminul Islam and Ric Mapp
