Heidi Morse was our solicitor and she was absolutely amazing in helping us buy our first home. From the very beginning, she made the entire process feel manageable and less overwhelming. She took the time to talk us through each step, explained everything clearly, and was always quick to answer any questions we had. The communication was excellent, and we always felt supported and well-informed throughout the process. Isobella was also fantastic and did a great job of keeping us updated and making sure nothing was missed. She is very approachable and always willing to help, which made the whole process feel much smoother and more reassuring. Together, Heidi and Isobella completely took the stress out of buying our first home and made it a positive experience. Will definitely be using Hek Jones again in the future, thank you so much!!

I can’t recommend Jason highly enough. We completed on our new home on 15th December after our offer was accepted on 3rd October, which in itself is a great turnaround. However, due to our lender not working with the first firm we were allocated, we weren’t actually picked up by Hek Jones until the week commencing 20th October. That means Jason got us through the entire process in just 8 weeks, in a chain of three, and still managed to get us completed before Christmas. From start to finish Jason was fantastic. He stayed in regular contact, always answered the phone, and when there were delays with the seller’s solicitors he was completely open and honest about what was happening. We always knew where we stood, which made a potentially stressful process so much easier. Jason was proactive, approachable, and clearly very experienced. Getting us in before Christmas was hugely important to us and we’re so grateful for all his hard work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone buying or selling a home. Hek Jones Solicitors have failed to complete the Land Registry registration 15 months after our house purchase, and the work remains outstanding to this day. This prolonged and unjustifiable delay has occurred despite repeated chasing and clear explanations of the serious consequences. Their failure has now placed our forward purchase and our buyer at real risk, creating unnecessary stress and potential financial loss. Communication has been consistently poor, progress has been unacceptable, and there has been a complete lack of urgency or accountability. This is basic conveyancing work that should have been completed long ago. We are now left with no option but to escalate this matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Unless this issue is resolved immediately, we strongly advise others to think carefully before instructing Hek Jones Solicitors.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM OF SOLICITORS What should have been a simple mother-to-son house sale took 9 months to complete. Completion finally took place on the afternoon of 19 December, with the mortgage offer expiring the very next day on 20 December, causing unnecessary stress and risk. The matter was handled by a trainee solicitor, with little evidence of proper supervision. Communication was consistently poor, with repeated excuses such as “I was ill” or “I was on holiday”. I was told the transaction would complete by the end of November, which did not happen. I submitted a formal complaint asking who was mentoring and overseeing the trainee solicitor, but this was never properly addressed. I was later told not to email the supervising solicitor and instead to contact the trainee directly, which I found completely unacceptable given the delays. A request for compensation or reduction in fees was ignored. Overall, the service was unprofessional and extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this firm.

Simply amazing staff and precise expertise when it came to my auction purchase. My solicitor Alexandra Jenkins managed to complete my purchase in 2 weeks! Can't recommend them enough. Will be using again and again!!
