I am disappointed and nearly lost the property as wasn’t made aware that my money in an EU account under my name will not even be accepted using Ives & Co. And only when deeply underway with the process I got an abrupt email informing me that within some T&C’s this is the case. And the process will stop and that was that. (The other solicitors I used afterwards didn’t bat an eyelid and just did their Money laundering etc… checking and all went well thankfully). Be aware that if you have money from outside of Britain (even Ireland using the Euro as an example) than these solicitors will not finish your conveyancing. Very very disappointing. So here is your warning well before you’ll normally find out from them before committing to Ives & Co for conveyancing. if you have funds from outside Britain, not even the EU, then the process will stop with you paying up until that point. Regards. With respect to your reply, If it was made clear from the outset as you say than the process wouldn't have got far? Which it did. No complaint made at this stage but if you suggest than maybe that is the way to progress as sorting house sale currently.
