I am writing this review in the hope of preventing the level of negligence and malpractice that I experienced at this firm from happening to anyone else. If you’ve ever gone through a divorce or child custody case, you know how exhausting and stressful it can get. So you’d need the right solicitor who has your interest at heart. I thought I had a good solicitor, but unfortunately, Kays Solicitors was overcharging and sometimes double-charged me for services rendered. I didn’t bother to double-check any of the invoices sent to me, as I never thought a legal practitioner would do something like that, let alone to someone going through a messy situation. When I finally went through the invoices, as I was struggling to pay for Kay’s services, I noticed I had been over and double charged for services rendered. I then confronted Kay, who admitted to overcharging me but said it was just an error. I suspected it was a deliberate act, so I looked further and realised I was being owed some money from the “error”, but Kay refused to refund any money back to me. When I threatened to expose the firm for their extortion and report them to the Ombudsman, Kay panicked and then accused me of harassment and reported it to the authorities. Unknown to her, I have proof of my visit to her office and have made a Service Access Request, which will prove her claims to be false. Kay also advised me that I wasn’t qualified to get legal aid, so she could continue to overcharge me for services rendered by her firm. I later found that I was qualified for legal aid all this time I was paying through my nose for these services. I have now reported this matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Please be very careful when dealing with this firm and always cross-reference your client care letter against your bill from Kays Solicitors. If she cancels your appointment for any reason, either in person or via telephone call, please make sure to send an email to confirm that the appointment has been cancelled (this will stop her from billing you for an appointment you did not attend). I will be posting evidence and correspondence between Kays Solicitors and me over time. #UpdatetoKaysSolicitorsResponse My overcharged invoices from your firm, email correspondence, and police incident reports say otherwise, which I will make available with time. I’ll let the appropriate authorities handle the matter for now.

I would highly recommend this firm. Kay is honestly the most caring and professional solicitor I have ever met. We used her for a very messy immigration matter, which had been ongoing for years. We had previously used two other firms unsuccessfully.Unlike all the other firms that had failed us. Kay listened and ensured all the information we gave her was included in the application. This resulted in our family members visa being approved after years of failed attempts. A big thank you to Kay and her team. An excellent, professional and efficient service. 💯 would recommend this firm.
