She was exceptional in tracking down and providing all the crucial information we required, making what could have been a difficult process incredibly smooth. She truly went above and beyond!

I did not use Clare May for conveyancing for the recent sale of my house, but unfortunately my buyer did. My house got an offer very quickly from a cash buyer and I had no forward chain, so I made it clear to all parties that I wanted a quick sale. There was no reason this should not have happened, but my request was ignored. My solicitor constantly had trouble getting hold of Clare May as she was often not in the office, the stock excuse being “she does have children”. After weeks of delays, it eventually came to arranging exchange of contracts, Clare May suggested a day, but it did not happen. I only found out about this on the day it was due to happen, so it was very frustrating, and our expected timescales were cut very short. It eventually took place 2 weeks later after many phone calls to my solicitor to arrange it. The ”quick sale” I had hoped for, eventually took nearly 5 months due to this solicitor and a slow moving buyer. Some reviews of Clare May solicitor seem to mention slow progress and based on my experience I would agree with this.

May Solicitors represented us when we purchased our house in 2014. The whole process was made easy and stress free by a competent and attentive team. I'd highly recommend using this independent firm if you want excellent communication and a quality service. Have recommended to friends who have also received the same high level of service.

I used mays solicitors to sell our flat. It should have been a quick process as our buyer was a no chain cash buyer. However mays failed to chase up management packs that we had already paid for, they never corresponded with us and where very rude whenever I called. One last in particular has zero customer service skills, she was always rude on the phone and stopped answering my calls! I was advised it would take 6 weeks to complete, 4 months later and it’s finally done. Painful and expensive experience, I will never use them again, I would advise to steer clear of this company
