We have worked with Merlin Accountancy Services for several years, where they handle all aspects of the finances for our events business. Their professional knowledge and insight is invaluable, and their daily handling of all invoices and payments in and out is a huge help to us in keeping on top of a quite complex business. We would not hesitate to recommend Merlin to any other business or person looking for accountancy services as I have no doubt they would be a great benefit to anyone they work with.

Running a small business, even when you've been doing it for years, never gets any easier. Moving to Merlin Accountancy was probably one of the best things that I ever did at a critical time when I needed support and sound financial advice. Both Giles and Karen have been understanding, clear and professional no matter what daft questions I threw at them. Whether it's a question of which software package to use or end of year results, Merlin had the answers. One less thing to worry about!

The Merlin team are fantastically good at their jobs. Professional, reliable, thoughtful, caring. In particular the time they took to help me understand Quickbooks was enormously beneficial. I’m the sole director of a limited company, which I use to manage interim and project-based marketing contracts. I’ve used Merlin Accountancy for several years, initially for my personal tax returns. When I started the business, they were the obvious choice to help me with its start-up and ongoing management. I’ve always been very satisfied working with Giles and Karen. They are unfailingly reliable, professional and accessible. For me, the main benefit of working with them is that they help remove complexity, which gives me fewer worries. Without their help, I would undoubtedly feel less in control and be concerned about making costly financial errors. They are open and transparent in what they’re doing, and always happy to help explain things to the layman. I’ve always appreciated help with the questions I’ve had – whether it’s about using book-keeping software, VAT regulations or managing expenses. That help has always been volunteered quickly and without fuss. Along the way, I’ve picked up some useful learning from the team and feel much more comfortable with my obligations as a small business. I’d recommend Merlin to other businesses without hesitation, and wish them well for the future.

Giles and Karen of Merlin Accountancy Services are extremely professional in their approach to being not just our Accountants but also our Financial advisors, never more then a phone call away and always helpful. This is all done in a very friendly (and when necessary firm) way. We utilise them by also having quarterly meetings to help us realise and reach our goals.
