Used Mundy's for two purchases of BTL properties now and it will be the last time I am using them, yes they are cheap but really lacking in communication and drag the whole process out. Cost me a lot of money by not be able to get a property over the line in time, never able to actually speak to the solicitor, only assistants on the reception. Spend a bit more on a decent solicitors and save money in the long run!
Hugely disappointing service. I'm not so surprised to see that this review won't stand out amongst the others. The service failed to meet expectations even for the price. A long convoluted story, but my experience was characterised by extremely poor communication, no sense of urgency, failure to complete fundamental parts of the process and many disappointing surprises along the way. On raising a complaint, the complaint was even forwarded to the respondent to deal with! Eventually, we had to resort to the Ombudsman for a successful determination on their standard of service. It pains me to give poor reviews, but where people's property hopes and dreams are concerned, I would avoid entrusting them to this company.
First time buyer going through the process currently, continuously holding up the progress and ignoring my solicitors emails. Was told at the beginning it would be 8-12 weeks, it's now been 6 months and had to extend my mortgage offer. Avoid at all costs.
Recently purchased a house and the seller used Mundys. They were very slow to respond and gave poor responses to enquiries. On the day of completion it took them almost 4 hours to confirm they had the funds which left us in limbo as our property sale had already completed. Heard so many similar stories from other people who have dealt with them. Would not recommend at all
First time buyers so unsure of process or how long anything takes usually but I think Mundy's certainly made the process more stressful. Communication was okay at first and was originally told they would be able to accept forms signed electronically etc but no everything had to be printed and posted which cost a lot. They're in the dark ages still. Communication really slowed down. We had to do a lot of chasing and checking of documents. They got information wrong with names, amounts of money etc. Then they made a complete oversight during the purchase (which it looks like happened to other people in their reviews so not sure why they aren't learning from mistakes) and stopped communicating which was extremely stressful. Had to get the legal ombudsman involved which has also taken 6 months to get any resolution, although still not completely satisfied with their resolution but I just want them out of my hair now. Avoid! Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
