Took £600 Then Abandoned My Case - Demanded More Payment for Zero Work** **Avoid this solicitor at all costs.** I paid £600 upfront for divorce services, with a further £600 due upon completion. After payment, communication ceased entirely. Despite repeated calls and messages over **months**, I was completely ignored. His only justification was having "other customers" – utterly unacceptable after taking full payment. **Crucially, I was forced to resolve the divorce myself** through direct negotiation with my ex-spouse, finalizing everything by September 23, 2024. He failed to send any confirmation, certificates, or even the divorce documents – I had to obtain these myself directly from HMCTS. **almost a year later**, with his work never done, he emailed demanding the second £600 payment, threatening additional fees. This is beyond unprofessional; it's exploitative. He took significant money, provided zero service, ignored me completely while I handled the case myself, and then had the audacity to invoice for work he demonstrably never performed. His firm prioritizes extracting money over basic ethics, professionalism, or client welfare. As a driving instructor, I deeply regret referring students to him – two have since reported similarly careless service. **Do not trust him with sensitive legal matters.** His negligence cost me significant time, stress, and Money.
