We just completed on our house sale today using Nero legal and I would personally recommend Ahnum for all her hard work. It was a longer process than we had initially planned due to our buyers, but Anhum stuck with us and got us over the line. We could.not be any more grateful. Absolutely delighted with the overall service and professionalism as well as being really good value. Highly recommend Nero.
Our experience with Cheryl at Nero Legal, who acted for the buyers in our transaction, was disappointing. Communication was consistently poor, with slow or absent responses to matters that were time-sensitive and required urgent attention. We experienced repeated delays and a lack of clarity around next steps, which made progress difficult and added unnecessary stress to an already complex transaction. Matters often required constant chasing to achieve movement, and we did not feel that the process was being managed proactively or with any urgency. At times we had to use our estate agent to broker escalations as little effort was made to speak directly with our solicitor. Based on our experience, we would choose to avoid this firm on any property transaction in the future!
Nero provided excellent value in handling the sale of my holiday home. They were friendly and efficient. The fee was very fair and Ahnum was very helpful. Would use again.
My dad is a client of Nero legal and he seems happy, Morgan is dealing with everything and doing a great job, explaining what dad needs to do during the process of purchasing property, no issues...
I selected Nero Legal to sell my flat and buy my house, as this was a stressful process and I wanted to minimise the stress by selecting one lawyer for both. Unfortunately due to many errors on their part I found this experience more stressful than it needed to be. I will however say that I dont believe this to be a single individuals fault and more an issue you will find across Nero Legal. My lawyer was always very polite, friendly and did try and ensure my interests were put first. Some examples of the errors; 1. Sending my final statement within an hour of the office closing for the weekend. It was missing approx. £27k from the equity, I tried calling at 4:30pm but the office was shut for the weekend. I had a very stressful weekend worrying that I wouldnt be able to pay for my house that was due to be purchased on Monday. I did get through on Monday morning and it was amended. 2. We had to send the security in person that has been signed by a witness three times. The first time we had printed on both sides and this was rejected when the date had to be changed. I accept this was more our error. The second time we had moved into our property by this time and they told me that they had a small admin error. They couldn't move the deeds to our name, as they had lost our security. It was a lot of hassle to replicate this process several times. 3. My estate agent fees were not added to my final statement resulting in my estate agent threating to add additional fees and an unexpected bill for me to pay several months after the purchase went through. 4. My factor charged me additional fees as they were notified late by Nero that I was selling my property. 5. After returning information promptly either via email or in person, my lawyer sometimes up to 2 weeks later would ask for the information again. Overall I would not recommend Nero Legal, until they addressed their processes in order to prevent errors like these happening to future clients.
