Reviews
I would not recommend Prince Evans based on my overall experience across multiple instructions. The first time I used the firm, the matter was handled poorly and I had to get heavily involved myself to stop the transaction from going wrong. The second and third instructions (both simple staircasing matters) were handled efficiently — but only because they were dealt with by Salman Zia, who was excellent. He has since left the firm. My fourth instruction exposed a clear decline in standards. The pricing was inconsistent, over-inflated, and did not align with the firm’s own published fees or with the fees charged on my previous matters. I raised these concerns in good faith, yet the response from Coralie Phelan was dismissive and unhelpful, with no willingness to meet in the middle. During a separate conversation, Joe Rice confirmed that the pricing published on their website is out of date — which makes the refusal to align the quote even more concerning from a transparency and client-care perspective. I obtained comparative quotes from other solicitors, all of which were far clearer, more professional, and significantly more competitive. Based on my experience, I would recommend Cavendish, Ackroyd Legal, and Tinklin Springall instead. These firms provided better transparency, communication, and value from the outset. Unfortunately, despite being a returning client, I experienced poor communication, lack of consistency, and no willingness to resolve reasonable concerns. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.
I used Prince Evan’s for my personal injury claim after a short browse on Google. They have been professional throughout and won the case majority in my favour which I was more than happy with. The initial individual I dealt with, although still very good, felt like I had to chase to get answers or updates. My case was taken over by Kokab Barakat around 6 months ago. It was at this point that things really started to get done, and finally move at pace. I have limited experience of dealing with solicitors but common knowledge tells me she is a very good one. You should trust Prince Evans, and in the same breath they should be proud to have Kokab. Thank you so much. Jason.
We were blessed to receive the help of Siddhant Sood, from Prince Evans. He was truly brilliant every step of the way. Responsive, swift and efficient, listened well, and took us through the process with great calm and care. And a very personable and reassuring presence also. Cannot recommend him highly enough!
I'm not one for writing reviews too often, but I have to single out the excellent Jenny Lovern, who heads up the conveyancing team at Prince Evans. I've been involved in a substantial amount of property sales over many years, but my most recent one was by far the most frustrating and complex. Despite challenging circumstances throughout, Jenny managed the whole process in an extremely calm, reassuring and professional manner, which in turn made me confident that she'd get us to completion - even though at times it looked like we wouldn't! Jenny is also a great communicator, always updating and responding in a timely and clear manner, as well as being an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can't recommend her highly enough
We have just completed the sale of our property and can't thank Karla Dudley enough. The conveyancing timelines were very tight, but she used her great experience to get all the steps done super quick. Moreover, she had to deal with a very inexperienced solicitor for the buyer, but was forever patient and at the right time escalated issues to progress the sale, which in the end completed with time to spare. She communicated all issues in a clear and understandable language and is a consummate professional.
