PRYERS AND THE NHS AGREED THAT THE TUMOR WAS MISSED. A leading neurosurgen quoted that a student or learner would have seen the tumor on the MRI scan. I asked about the NHS constitution ( no reply ). Pryers witheld all of my information which they had collected over the 3 years. and then collaborated with the NHS against me. Supposed to be defending me ? In the first 2 years dizzy spells turned to black-outs. I received 24 hour monitoring and blood tests and E C G `s. I had scans of my heart valves, Aorta and Jugular veins. Nothing was found. I was sent for a M R I scan. I can still remember consultant Mr patterson telling me that the M R I did not show anything including the tumor. The M R I did show a tumor but it was not acknowledged. Pryers did enquire why was it not reported, It just seemed to be swept under the carpet ? !!!!!!!!!!! A consultant Mr P told me the MRI scan showed no tumor. A second consultant Mr H told me that he did not think that the tumor was the problem. Hence no referral and no results ? I believe that this unit was transferred to the York hospital ( mistakes ) ? I suffered more dizzy spells and blackouts for another 30 months. I had another M R I scan for a deaf ear. I was told about the test results and referred to Hull neurology department. They told me that it was on the first scan ? I was asked if I wanted to have treatment or wait another year. I requested the treatment as I had suffered for 5 years. I was told that they could not operate at Hull and that I would have to go to Royal Hallam hospital at Sheffield for Gamma-knife surgery. 6 months later I had the operation. I decided to let Pryers solicitors put a compensation claim in for me. I was given a trainee solicitor who collected all the information which was required over the next 30 months. 1) MISDIAGNOSIS, 2) INCORRECT MEDICINES, 3) REFUSAL OF A REFERAL TO A NEUROSURGEON, 4) LOSS OF EARNINGS, HAVING TO TAKE EARLY RETIREMENT, 5) I HAD 7 YEARS OF CORONARY TESTS, 6) PRYERS STOLE 2 YEARS OF CLAIMS FOR CORONARY TESTS THAT I HAD ALREADY HAD DONE, 7) BOTH HULL ROYAL AND ROYAL HALLAM HOSPITALS CAME TO THE RESCUE. PRYERS told me that their Barrister would not take my case to court because there was a good chance of losing. £ 100.000 CLAIM was to be expected for this case ? Several acts of collusion have been committed here. I suggest that Richard Starkie and his selected staff are or were running a SCAM. The advertisement:- We will get you the best offer less 25% deduction for our services ? No offers and no receipts. No final or completion certificate ? Pryers have reported profits of several £ millions ?It took 5 years and 2 MRI s to get to the surgery. The first M R I was archived ? NHS constitution ? I had 2 years claim deducted for coronary tests which I had already had before the first MRI scan. ( £40.000 ) Dishonesty? I was suffering with a BRAIN TUMOR. The tumor was on the end of my smell nerve and also restricting blood flow to the brain. Hypertension was required to get blood past the tumor to my brain ? Blood pressure medicine was defeating this and making problems worse. I was forced to take early retirement because of the blackouts, misdiagnosis and mismanagement were the reasons. To be let down twice by Scarborough / York NHS is a disgrace. To be let down and robbed by Richard Starkie and his team at Pryers is a problem for the LAW SOCIETY. After wasting 3 years of my life Pryers tell me that I have 6 months to launch a complaint ? I would not recommend Pryers or Starkie to my worst enemies. We are still monitoring Pryers and will do so until this case is sorted. P A Ward
I would like to thank the team at Pryers and in particular Charlotte Waller for their professionalism, empathy and legal guidance. From the very first phone call right through to a successful closure I feel like I’ve been listened to and really supported through every stage of my 2 ½ yearlong claim. The level of communication and being proactive in explaining the process was really reassuring and made me feel valued. Pryers also took a moral approach to ensure that costs did not spiral unnecessarily such as those associated with Medical appointments. Pryers have made a real difference to my claim and have given me the closure I was looking for, so thank you.
Pryers has been amazing to me from the start to the end of my case. In particular Kristi who was my solicitor who was amazing, she was easy to talk to, she would answer all my questions (and I had many) she would be very quick and efficient with her responses and she was extremely understanding and professional throughout my entire case. I felt confident in her as my solicitor to get the best outcome for my case and I was was very happy with my settlement. No matter what request I had, or what query I had Kristi insured that I was fully updated and satisfied with my concerns or queries with my case. The entire case was a long process especially due to the pandemic but pryers and Kristi were exceptional and I would 110% recommend them as a company to represent any one of you.
Pryers Solicitors was recommended to me by Citizen Advice Bureau. They are efficient, professional, thoughtful, good quality and good value in terms that you don't need to pay upfront unless the case succeeded, they took reasonable share at the end which they absolutely deserve for all the work they did. They took all the stress away from me and handed me with unexpected high standard result. I am truly grateful to their service.
After 2 years of my husband's case going nowhere we transferred to Pryers and thank heavens we did. We had regular communication, which kept us up to date with how the case was progressing. We had every confidence that Pryers understood the seriousness and how debilitating my husband's accident at work was. The advice we received and the guidance given helped us exceed the original claim value by more than 4 times. We found Pryers to be very approachable, understanding and professional and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
