We are having the most frustrating experience with this firm. I believe there was a merge of Quinn Barrow and Glaisyers in December 2024 and though their website claims this won’t cause a delay to clients, I strongly disagree. We’ve been trying to purchase a house and sell our own since October 2024 and these solicitors have been in charge of managing the house we are buying. Our solicitors have been trying to contact them for updates and they are basically impossible to reach, ignore emails and voicemails and let weeks pass with no update. The delay means we are now facing an additional £2500 in stamp duty costs. Never when I started this process almost 6 months ago did I think we’d be nearing April and still have no idea when (or if) we will be moving. In desperation I rang them myself only to be shouted at on the phone and told they cannot speak to me because I am not their client. However, we are being most put out by their complete incompetence! I’m at my wits end and being reduced to tears with how this company thinks it is acceptable to ignore our case and efforts to contact them by our solicitors. I just truly hope we get somewhere before May as if not, we risk our entire sale falling through as a result of their negligence as our mortgage offer will expire before they’ve even issued a draft contract. I genuinely believe if there had been more proactive solicitors on the case, we would have been moved in by now. AVOID.
