1 star is being very generous, I used one of the criminal law solicitors who did no work what so ever. I ended up receiving a prison sentence, his negligence contributed alot towards this. He failed to submit evidence, had to always be brought up to date with the case, held meetings at the home of the barrister, never had any input. I have requested my documents but not received anything, I am still waiting. Can anyone advise what I can do to obtain this information. I previously spoke to management during my case but nothing happened. Any advice will be appreciated. Overall the service was horrible, when I asked to change solicitors I was met with hostility, almost forced to stay. Please think carefully before putting your freedom in their hands. Just to add to this he attended court one or two times out of 20 times. Always had a family member in hospital pr car issues for 3 years. I made my own evidence file for him responding to every point the cps raised however he did not file this as he believed it was a small case. He advised me to lie in court regarding access to my mobile phone to which I refused. The barrister also refused to go with this. I told him on several occasions I have my mobile phone why not use this to go through the CPS evidence but he refused so he could adjourn and make more money. Being a solicitor relling his client to lie in court is unacceptable. He told me his brother would be on the case but his brother never showed up once. This was a big reason why I agreed to give him the case. He used my lack of knowledge of the mechanics of law to make more money out of my case, when I discussed using an alternative solicitor he was very angry and made promises he did not keep. I have requested my file 3 weeks ago, my family requested in several times while I was in prison, I sent consent in writing but still not received anything. I spoke to Reece Clayton and they dont know what's going on. WOULD YOU WANT TO PUT YOUR FREEDOM AND LIFE DECISION IN THEIR HANDS. ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE SUFFERED AT THE HANDS OF THIS COMPANY I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO SUFFER. If anyone at Reece Clayton wants to discuss this review or challenge any if the points I have made you have my details feel free to do so. FOR COMPANIES LIKE THIS YOU ARE A POUND SIGN NOT A PERSON Just an update Me, my family and friends have received numerous calls from the solicitor to remove this review as it is damaging their image.

I was put through to Rees Clayton after a car accident 3 years ago. Originally, Aisha Rais was my case handler, and it was a very long process, where I constantly had to chase for updates and action, often not hearing from them between 3-6 months at a time. As a result, I was not particularly happy with how my case was dealt with as I'd had numerous medical assessments, some repeated because they ran out of date before actioned, all over and hour away from home with no reimbursement of funds for these appointments. Sameeta Arshad took over the case in March 2025 and managed to speed things up significantly. Although overall I am disappointed with my claim award (when taking into account the extent the accident has had on both my physical and mental well-being), I am pleased that Rees Clayton have recognised the short falls made by Aisha Rais and improved my experience as a result.
