I am honestly reading through the reviews and wish I had a positive experience as well but unfortunately that is just not the case. I wonder if we have just been unlucky with the case handlers we've had. There has been a complete lack of communication from the people handling our case. I only found out after chasing incessantly that the previous case handler had left the firm and someone else was taking over. Over one week on and we have still not gotten an update on our case. Other people in the chain have also commented on the lack of communication which the new case handler dismissed, saying their primary duty is to communicate with us, however we are also not being communicated with. This is so frustrating and it is honestly hard to believe that businesses treat their clients this way. I have called every day this week and the assistants of the case handler keep promising to get back to us but of course that never happens. The case handler has also missed his own timeline which he communicated in writing to get back to us with no communication as to the reason for the delay or when we can expect to hear from him. I am increasingly getting anxious about the lack of communication and worried SAS Daniels will cost us this move.

Anna Thompson handled our London house purchase and we could not be happier. Anna and her team were competent, kind, and kept the ball rolling without ever making us feel like we didn’t know what we were doing (we didn’t know what we were doing). If we ever sell or buy again we will be reaching out to the lovely folks of SAS Daniels. Thank you so much

I can’t recommend Steph Brayshay at SAS Daniels LLP enough. She was everything you’d hope for in a solicitor, responsive, incredibly efficient, and so patient in explaining anything I didn’t understand or was worried about. I’d spoken to a couple of solicitors before finding her, and had already experienced the typical delays and poor communication people often warn about when buying a property. But with Steph, it was the complete opposite, she was always one step ahead, kept me informed at every stage, and made the whole process feel smooth and manageable. A big thank you as well to Lizzy Crowther, her assistant, who had the same quality of service, lovely to deal with and always quick to help and keep me informed. I’d absolutely go back to SAS Daniels & Steph again for any future purchase, working with them was genuinely a pleasure.

Avoid at all costs! Was quoted £2k for a commercial bridging mortgage and on the completion date was sent a bill for £6k with no explanation! Just 2 weeks before the completion the solicitor confirmed the fee would go up from £2k to £3k and was agreed but was sent a £6k bill on the last day (Double from what was agreed). Also charged some fee for the work not even carried out by them. During the whole process we had to constantly ask for updates from the solicitor and on some occasions the solicitor would go completely quiet. The solicitor would not respond to calls for sometimes a whole week. From my experience they quote you a good fee at the start to get the client and then raise the fee when they know client has invested enough time and would not be backing out. Absolutely shocked at being charged additionally £3k in last 2 weeks for nothing. Not sure if SRA would be happy with the miscommunication and wrong fee charges to clients.

Absolutely outstanding service! Worth their fees in gold. Partner Andrew Clark and senior associate Sam Alexander Lyon worked tirelessly on what started out as an easy transaction and quickly became more complicated than expected. They took the time to understand my positions, make me aware thoroughly of the risks, were very clearly excellent at communication with me. We managed to complete the transaction in time before the SDLT increase and get favourable position on the deal largely due to the excellent skills displayed by Andrew and Sam. As a solicitor myself, I cannot recommend them heavily enough (especially if your purchase/sale is one that has specific timelines).
