Couldn't be bothered to call me back and explain they are too busy to even discuss the matter. After multiple approaches over nearly 10 days; lots of leaving messages for people that were unavailable / secretaries passing on messages to the team. Wasted my time. Boo!

Avoid this company at all costs to prevent potential legal and financial turmoil. I used Savage Silk for the purchase of my home in early 2020. Years later, while trying to remortgage, I discovered they failed to register a crucial discharge provided at completion. This oversight has made it impossible for me to remortgage costing me many thousands of pounds in avoidable costs. Worse, they've refused to engage meaningfully, despite formal complaints, a pending Legal Ombudsman case. Instead of accepting responsibility, they delegated to their partner organisation, HS Conveyancing without my consent, adding confusion and delay. Their mistakes have caused real financial harm and continue to do so - including increased mortgage interest, Help to Buy penalties and the expiration of my mortgage offer. I am now taking action against them for professional negligence. If you value your time, money or peace of mind, stay far away from this firm. Their internal failures, evasiveness and disregard for professional duty have made this the worst legal experience I've ever had.

How is this firm even still running? Absolute shambles. When acting as my conveyancer in a purchase, they never sent me the final contract, the deeds, the EPC; I had to continually chase; they didn't respond to emails for 6 weeks - basically EVERYTHING I paid them to do, they didn't do, even though this is a legal requirement in a property transaction. They then chased me for a fake payment for a service I didn't even ask for or receive. Total cowboys. Avoid like the plague.

Absolutely delighted with my experience using Savage Silk. Myself and my partner were trying to buy our first property together and had 2 fall through due to reasons with the sellers, but finally managed to get the third one over the line. We used Savage Silk for all 3 properties and were supported throughout each and every one. With the successful purchase I was put in touch with Gillian at the Stockton on Tees office, who was dealing with our file. Gillian provided a superb service, was extremely responsive and provided advice all throughout the purchase. Charlotte who dealt with the completion was also very attentive and was always up to date with the arrangements of our file if I needed to speak to her during Gillian’s time out of the office.

Worst company ever! If I could leave minus stars I would. They failed to offer any sort of advice during my auction sale, they lied throughout the process and withheld information from me. Even the sellers solicitors called them liars because of the information they constantly withheld and lied about. It was extremely embarrassing. I was the one constantly having to chase things up, get advice from other lawyers on what to do and then relay it back to savage silk. They did not act in my interest. When it became clear the sale was going to fall through they failed yet again to offer advice/ options I had moving forward. They then asked me to pay an additional £300 towards getting a litigators opinion. I complained about the level of service I had received & they immediately decided to drop me as a client 3 days before my completion date. Just a horrible horrible set of individuals who lack any sort of accountability and ability to actually help their clients. Complete waste of time and money.
