Spencer Elliott has ben an absolute pleasure to deal with. In my opinion the level of knowledge they possess is outstanding. The thing that really sets them apart is the level of service - I find it hard to believe it could be any better in anyway. I couldn't recommend the team at Spencer Elliott enough - a huge thank you from me. A truly wonderful group of knowledgeable people.

I sold my house with Spencer Elliott but unfortunately I found my experience jarringly different to the other reviews I have read through here. Fundamentally the issues came down to communication and responsiveness. It felt like every email I sent would require chasing up at least twice before I received acknowledgement - this became a painful process and I came to accept that each time I needed an answer/update or to push things along it required a week lead time and multiple emails. I would say that I don't consider myself overly pushy or a micromanager, I wasn't asking for updates every other day: for the first month there was no communication between me and SE, then after which I was only asking for an update perhaps once every 2-3 weeks as the process dragged on with no real movement. There were times when I could compare responsiveness directly to that of the EA when they were both cced on an email. I received multiple updates throughout the day from the EA but nothing from SE until I chased up the following week. The final aspect was on the day we were due to exchange (a Friday to complete on the Monday) I had not had any update all week so had to chase in the morning. The response back was that there was an outstanding enquiry that had not been addressed which I had asked specifically about over a week prior but this question was ignored. This did eventually get resolved that day but delayed exchange and completion to the following week. I raised the issues with communications twice and both times there was deflections to the buyer's solicitors (who I will acknowledge were not great either and caused significant delays). I had already considered these points and was reasonable and understanding but my frustrations with SE were separate of this. Unfortunately my points were not really heard and there was no real change in their responsiveness. They did explain that they were very busy but this was presented as a reason rather than an apology for slow/poor service. Potentially they are great and responsive but chose to take on too much work. However if this was the case then I would prefer being told that they would be too busy to take me on as a client rather than leave me with the experience I had. Without the EA acting as an intermediary I don't know how long it would have taken us to complete the sale.

We’ve just bought our home and can’t thank enough the team at Spencer Elliott. Elizabeth, Victoria, Charlotte & John always showed their support throughout the process and were very helpful. They were professional, friendly, and always took the time to explain each step clearly. We really felt they were with us every step of the way, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. We recently used Spencer Elliott to act for us in the sale of our house and purchase of our new one. Both Elizabeth and Victoria were a pleasure to deal with - they responded quickly to emails and phone calls and were always happy to explain things. We always felt like we were in good hands and would highly recommend.

Appointed spencer elliot on 28th July house sale completed on 19th September. mostly handled by Victoria. She went above and beyond even coming to my home address for me to sign some paperwork as I had just had a total knee replacement. All people involved in the sale at the office were swift and efficient in any queries I raised Would highly recommend. Thanks Geoff
