My partner and I instructed Step Legal Solicitors in Stoke-on-Trent for our recent property purchase. As first-time buyers, we were dealing with a complicated transaction that involved leasehold, shared ownership, and a deed of variation. ​Liz Mayer was outstanding throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail is excellent; she identified errors in the lease that had been missed by all other previous parties. Despite the complexity of the purchase, we reached completion in just 10 weeks, due to Liz’s efficient workflow and her willingness to actively chase other parties to prevent delays. She prepared everything in advance to ensure we were ready as soon as the paperwork allowed. ​Liz was entirely transparent and honest, keeping us informed at every stage so we knew exactly how to assist. She was also very reassuring, taking the time to answer our many questions as new buyers. ​Her team were just as excellent - they were always friendly and quick to respond. On the occasion that we needed to speak to the team on the phone, we were never left on hold, and would talk to a human within seconds of dialing. With the complexities of this purchase, and with us being first-time buyers, I had expected nothing but stress. Vicky was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process – knowledgeable, reassuring and always approachable. She really made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward.
