We approached Lisa for some initial immigration advice once we learned how difficult the visa process is. Lisa gave us some good clear advice initially and set out a path which suited our circumstances. We had very tight timescales to work to because we have a baby on the way so we needed to obtain a visa before we could no longer fly. We went through the marriage visitor visa process and then the partner visa process with Lisa. Although it was a stressful situation, having Lisa essentially guide us through the process and ultimately request certain documents and submit them on our behalf, this helped take the stress out of our situation knowing we were in good hands. In the end the visa process took much quicker than the timescales stated on the government website so we were very pleased everything worked out just fine in the end! We’re currently now together in the UK and can enjoy the remainder of the pregnancy for our first child. Thanks Lisa and team!

I recently had occasional to use Stephens-Scown and their team of immigration solicitors. Their entire team could not have been more helpful, explaining the process and their fee’s every step of the way, finally resulting in a successful outcome for myself. Special thanks is due my particular solicitor (Abigail Grace) who helped me through a couple of rough spots and always seemed available. I can not recommend the entire firm highly enough.

So happy and grateful with Abigail and the team. We had lots of stress as got wrong info from another solicitor in London about my visa. But with all her imideate help everything went fine and got my spouse visa yesterday. Now me and my English husband can start our life together here in Devon.

Many thanks to Stephens Scown Solicitors and most specifically to Abigail Grace for making my visa application smooth and painless after a horrendously rocky start. I sat happily in front of Abigail in Exter to begin my application, only to be told I needed to apply from my home country, Australia, which I had left one week before. Mea culpa. Within a week, Abigail had coached me through compiling the endless documentation and exactly two weeks after landing in the UK, I was back in Australia. The processing was done in lightning fast time and I am about to contemplate returning to the UK winter, from the Byron Bay summer. Abigail was patient, thorough and completely knowledgeable, in stark contrast to my panicked, scatty ignorance. If you're looking for true professionalism and unfailing diligence, put your trust in Stephens Scown Solicitors and Abigail Grace. By the way, they make excellent coffee!

Thank You to Benitia Knowles-Wright of Stephens Scown Family law, I graciously offer a 5 star review for your work. In short, I was recommended through personal family connections to Stephens Scown, and hence first met Benitia, when I was sadly in a dire mental state. My marriage abruptly ended through exposure to extreme narcissism, leading to uninvited violence, wrongly targeted police intervention and an utter hellhole of a life experience opening up in front of me. Confused, bedraggled and very angry at the injustice dealt my way, I could not have prayed for anyone (let alone a solicitor) who was as welcoming. understanding, compassionate to the circumstances but of course and probably more importantly, utterly professional in her manner, dealings and advice. She allowed my emotions to be expressed, listened to my raging, empathised with my situation but always, clearly, with respect, brought my attention back to the matter in hand that needed to be dealt with. Truly this is the first time I have experienced a rock in my life; it didn't take long before even my concerned mother would interject with "what does Bea say?" And yes, it was a long old haul, but I cannot think of a single instance where I could find fault in the advice or temperament of Benitia in guiding me through this difficult divorce and settlement. But it is done, I am very happy with the outcome and for what was inevitably the biggest expense of my life, without Benitia, I may well have lost my way in what will undoubtedly turn out to be the most emotionally demanding experience of my life. If sadly, you find yourself in an equally painful place in life, needing some family law guidance, please look no further. Thank you Benitia, forever grateful. Rachel x
