I was very fortunate to be contacted by James Manship and the team at Tennant IP via a CITMA referral regarding some trademark concerns whilst I'm launching my new venture. James was calm, extremely knowledgeable around all my different concerns, and explained each of my options in plain English so I actually understood each risk and next steps with IPO. His advice was practical, reassuring, and he delivered it in a friendly, personable way - exactly what you want when something feels extremely stressful. Starting up a poetry writing business in 2019, I was concerned that I had no protection over my name and images. My company logo in particular is something I am proud of and use wherever I can. I got in contact with Mike from Tennant IP and straight away he talked me through the entire process and put my mind at ease. Being uneducated in this area, Mike informed me of the different classes available, exactly what I would be covered for and full explanations as to the reasons why protecting my company identity was so important. On top of this, Mike offered advice regarding protecting my poems by way of copyright which also educated me greatly. We got the wheels in motion just before Covid hit the UK and the initial application was sent off and a suggested time scale given. Due to the pandemic, Mike got in contact and explained that applications were delayed and of course, this was totally understandable. What impressed me most, was the continual (weekly) communication between Tennant IP and myself whilst the application was going through. At no time was I worried about anything. Eventually, my application was accepted and I now have full Identity Protection and a UK Trademark for my company. From the very start, all that was required from me was some basic information and images on my company and Tennant IP did everything else. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly, helpful, professional and most importantly (to me), explained everything very clearly. I have no hesitation in recommending Mike and his team at Tennant IP. Outstanding service.
