No words for the disgrace and the way I have been treated..!!! Unworthy should loose his licence Micheal Tomson!!! For a year and a half been waiting on a delicate case been resolved and he hasn't even started the case!!! Major concerns for 4 months been trying to get an update was brushed off no reply courtesy does not cost much.. feel for the girls in the office as I have been calling in for 4 months solid.. not there fault Micheal is unprofessional !!! They could not give myself any information.. Girls find a decent company to work for as he is not a good boss laying it all on you for his misconduct!!! Would avoid at all costs.. read the reviews and you will be shocked he's done it to loads of clients!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!! UNWORTHY!!!! DECEITFUL !!!! DO NOT TRUST .. his reply to my concerns were go viral!!!!!

I was represented by Michael Thompson, who took my case at a really critical time, after the sudden and unexpected closure of my prior solicitors firm, immediately before the four year family law action was due to go to proof. I was in a desperate situation, where no one would take on my legal aid case at such an advanced stage. Within minutes of instructing Michael Thompson, he had my files, had applied for a change in my legal aid, and had begun delegating tasks to members of his firm. I would say his tagline is: ‘let’s action this immediately’. His team were all highly capable, and thorough, collecting witness affidavits and evidence. Michael defended my case in the proof hearing, and the first day of proof was my first time meeting Mr Thompson. He is a bit like a solicitor from the movies, and was quite dramatic in court. ‘I object My Lady.’ He was not afraid to take necessary risk. Not only did he make sure that I was comfortable and reassured, he made sure that my witnesses and those supporting me felt the same. It’s quite awful having those that you love interrogated in the witness box, but Michael made them feel as comfortable as possible before and after. I am satisfied that Mr Thompson represented me in a kind and fair way, with rigour and force when needed. He is very cool. Make sure to get appointments with him in early, by phoning the office. He knows the law, and reassures you by quoting the law in a way I’ve found that other solicitors have not. I am very happy that Michael has put the appropriate time and effort into my case. He sometimes makes contact via WhatsApp, which is actually really handy, and at times, especially during the proof, would be working on my case through the night. I really appreciate Michael and his firm stepping in at such a vulnerable time, and having had a few solicitors I’m really happy with how I have been represented.

I approached Thompson Family Law in 2022 to instruct them in a civil case regarding transfer of property and divorce. Michael Thompson dealt with my case, and did so efficiently and with conviction. He explained how the law and court system worked and dealt with my enquiries in person. He was confident from the outset that I had a good chance of winning my case, which turned out to be true. He argued my case before a sheriff and was particularly deft in cross-examining the defendant. Despite the vagaries of the court system, which can be subject to delay, Michael won the case partly through his knowledge of case law, and partly through his skills as an examiner. I would recommend Thompson’s to anyone, and particularly those who who need financial assistance through the Legal Aid Scheme.
