Elton Ashworth the managing director, a very unpleasant man indeed. Long, tedious & horrible experience from the Darwen branch. Actively working against the customer, making the process more stressful than necessary. Very poor communications & even worse attitudes. There are plenty of solicitors who are keen to do a good job for you. Do not waste your time & good money with this lot.

So disappointed — unexpected fees, poor communication and rude service. We used Watson Ramsbottom to remortgage our house after previously using them for our purchase. We were quoted £636 but ended up being charged £1,094.50. These additional fees were only revealed at the very end and without a satisfactory explanation. We mainly dealt with Laura Lord, who I personally found to be quite defensive and rather rude. I gave them the opportunity to resolve the matter before leaving a review, but nothing was done, so we are now taking the case to the Legal Ombudsman. The remortgage was completed, but the experience was stressful, costly, and unnecessarily unpleasant. I would not recommend — save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

I would highly recommend Watson and Ramsbottom solicitors Due to a mixup with the estate agent and the seller we had to pull out of the sale, After complaining to the estate agent When Ramsbottom solicitors found out they refunded £1248 pounds paid to them for completing the work they had done On the sale of the house, I would like to thank Jodie client assistant for all their help and look forward to using Watson Ramsbottom solicitors again in the very near future. Recently sold a property and both Dana and Kieran offered a flawless service, with fantastic communication and great advice. I had a number of questions but they were both excellent at giving detailed responses and advice, and quick to reply too. I had previously bought and sold a property working with WatsonRamsbottom, and although the quote was slightly higher that the Estate Agent had sourced me, I can 100% vouch for the value & peace of mind I had with Dana & Kieran! Response time and communication were so valuable throughout the process and they never missed a mark with either. Having 2 x points of contact throughout is a real benefit as both were up-to-speed when one took annual leave, which is in contrast to some solicitors where that’s not the case and things can then be missed. I highly recommend working with WatsonRamsbottom and the fantastic Dana and Kieran, and will be recommending to friends and family for any future house purchases/sales too!
