I recently completed two remortgages with Whitefields, both of which required additional legal work beyond a standard remortgage. This included the creation of leases, transfer of equity, and transfer of freehold titles. From my initial inquiry through to completion, Whitefields demonstrated an exceptional level of diligence, professionalism, and commitment. Their service went above and beyond my expectations. Having been in the property industry since 1998 and managing a small portfolio, I have worked with numerous solicitors over the years. Unfortunately, I have previously encountered significant issues, including incorrectly registered title deeds, which led to severe financial consequences. Whitefields, however, identified errors that had been overlooked by others in my portfolio In this instance, I was working against tight deadlines to complete before the upcoming stamp duty increases in April 2025. The team at Whitefields had less than 4 weeks to complete on two mortgages, they were extremely proactive, ensuring that all matters progressed efficiently—often keeping me on track more than I did myself. I cannot express enough gratitude to the outstanding young professional, Omar Sharif. His meticulous attention to detail identified an incorrect lease structure on a property I have owned since 2004. Without his intervention, I would have faced significant financial losses. His dedication, expertise, and thoroughness were truly commendable. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to his supervisor, Majid, and the entire Whitefields team. Their professionalism, transparency, and integrity have given me complete confidence in their services. I had a quite awful experience with Whitefields Solicitors. Completely unresponsive and caused all sorts of problems. After multiple emails, left messages and phone calls we were left completely in the dark and with no response at all. The service really was as poor as I’ve ever seen from a solicitors. Maybe I got unlucky as some people have been happy with them, but definitely not in my case. Unfortunately for me, they were representing the buyer of my property which means I am unable to pursue things much beyond this review. I do appreciate that I wouldn’t have been the only case they were dealing with but to completely ignore multiple efforts to make contact in a row (from my solicitor, the buyer and several different estate agents) is quite frankly, completely unacceptable. No acknowledgement whatsoever. They also managed to take the entire money for the sale and again disappear for a while! Not sure what happened there. Needless to say, I would certainly do your due diligence before choosing this company. They’re very prone to going silent for long periods, to the extent I was worried my buyer had been scammed! I have no idea what they charge, but when you account for the time, stress and aggravation, it works out very expensive! I have never left a negative review before, this is how strongly I feel about this!
