I had a very disappointing experience with Wilson Barker Solicitors, specifically with Richard Barker. I engaged him for a motoring offence case, which I ultimately won. The judge awarded me legal expenses, but recovering these expenses has been an ordeal. For the past two years, I've been chasing Richard for updates, and not once did he respond proactively. When I finally reached out, he demanded an additional fee of £250 plus VAT. When I questioned this, he was extremely rude and unprofessional, even swearing during our phone conversation and refusing to help further. I would strongly advise against using this firm.

Poor professionalism. Richard took care of our lease extension. The lease is done with the free holder, but Richard stopped all communication with us, after getting pressed around the progress with the Registry. Also called me rude in an email. We have sent Richard several follow up emails, he doesn't reply, and can't get through to him on the phone after several attempts. Stay away if you want true professionalism. {UPDATE - replied to his answer} Yes, we did cancel the instruction due to the company's poor communication/professional. And asked for all the documentation/our data to be shared with us- in order to complete the hand off and be aware of what is done / what is pending with the Registry. We didn't receive anything - instead we got ghosted both on the phone and in email. {UPDATE VOL2 20SEP2024} I called Richard, and he started yelling at me that "You instructed me to stop dealing with the Registry, so I didn't do it". In his emails, he was stating that the Registry process takes long and we need a reason to expedite it, implying that he had started the process. On the phone he told me he didn't do it...

Wilson Barca provides a friendly and efficient service. I have used Richard Barca as my solicitor for many years, he dealt with my probate and inheritance tax very effectively, advising me as to areas I should pay close attention to, and always being helpful.
