Very very poor service all round. Still waiting on an email from 2 weeks ago where Helen has marked the wrong thing and I've asked her to change it so it is factually correct for the courts and she's ignoring me. One mediation session was cut short as I didn't agree to changing the time, we lost 30 mins so she could go on holiday. We were sent forms/documents 30 mins before the first mediation session, rather than well in advance with no chance to be able to read anything, the first mediator was not impartial. The summary of the sessions were sometimes wrong, saying things that were not discussed in the session. Took 10 attempts to even get in contact the first time after I was initially emailed to arrange a MIAM. There was 6 weeks between recieving initial contact and the MIAM and then another 5 whole weeks between inital meeting and the first mediation session due to short working hours and lack of availability. Now over 5 months on and no help whatsoever and the end conclusion is contradictory in every sense, starts with person B does not feel suitable, then she sees mediation has broken down. Then when questioned, she changed back to person B made the decision, but now that I've asking for that to be made clear on the C100, I'm being ignored. No arrangements regarding the child have been made and sadly just wasted 5+ months with 174 Family Law. Avoid at all costs and seek other, more reputable businesses with better reviews. I pleaded with the other party before mediation started to contact another business due to the reviews being so poor, and here we are in the same boat. **to edit (not allowed to respond to them) the issues HAVE NOT been addressed privately at all, my email has been ignored. They can respond to a bad review at 10pm at night but it's taken 2 weeks to respond to an email during working hours**

Waited a week for a call, never got the call but did get a voicemail. (probably a momentary lapse in signal) Returned the voicemail immediately to be told my appointment will now be in the next week. Typical 2025 behaviour. Failed at the first hurdle. Does it not occur to you people to maybe, try again, wait a minute or 2?

I wish to thank Melissa, Heather, Annabelle and all the Team at 174 Law (The Lauries, Birkenhead) for their hard and tireless work in concluding the stressful child contact arrangements with a fantastic result last week. Well Done! After working non-stop for the last 19 months a successful conclusion was reached, massively benefitting myself and my children. Melissa's recommendation of the Barrister, Amy for the Final Hearing, was inspired, as she went above and beyond in her help, assistance and especially her compassion, (a trait Melissa and her team also hold in spades). Now I look forward to the New Year with renewed optimism and hope the Financial aspects are also concluded as successfully so I can enjoy my Family Life with total and unencumbered Freedom. Thank you Melissa and 174 Law for working conscientiously and tirelessly to help support me to achieve that dream for my children and myself. Just like to add that now my Divorce has been finalised and Final Order issued, like to thank everyone mentioned above for their help and assistance in all aspects of my Divorce and Child Arrangements and wish you all the best for the future, as my children and I look forward brightly to our new future which you helped create for us.

Melissa quaile is young, but don't let that put you off. She really knows her stuff. I would highly recommend her to anybody, even my family. Trust her completely. Melissa recommend a barrister called Suzanne Evans, who is so kind, but like a headmistress on steroids in court. Both amazing strong women

I wasn't happy with the service in the end. My solicitor (M) was quite good at court, but too aggressive and evasive on phone calls and after court. Also I'd call and be told that M was on Holiday (One time for over 2 months) and that nobody else in the firm could help me. I don't believe my solicitor was away from the office for over 2 months. I dont feel there was much interest in helping me win my case. I just felt like she didnt want to help at all. The advice that I often got was "We'll have to see when we get to court" Which isnt how it works, thats just more profitable for solicitors. Advice on how to deal with stuff outside of court wasnt clear or forthcoming. I've had better experiences with other solicitors. EDIT: Asked me to replace proof of funding, which isnt ever neccesary. same info given to 174 in the first instance was used by other solicitors to claim legal aid for court and advice, and continues to be valid today. If there was an issue with the funding, it was limited to within 174's office. This was the why I went to another solicitor.
