My buyers chose this solicitor and they caused so many issues in selling my property. Repeatedly asking for the same documents we had already sent them (either losing the emails or not reading them at all). Demanding documents that when we managed to get hold of them from other parties were apparently not relevant or were the wrong ones (despite being told that’s what they needed). Raising enquiries that were already resolved at the last minute prior to exchange again. Rude emails sent my solicitor. Being too busy to deal with the transaction and refusing to take phone calls from my estate agent. Nearly lost the sale 2 or 3 times due to them. When they realised they nearly destroyed the transaction, they expected me to exchange and complete within 24 hours notice and for me to move out within this time frame to accommodate them. Only resolved because I managed to speak to my buyers directly to find a solution with them on non legal points. This was a nightmare last 3 months of a 7 month process.

Please read the following if you are thinking of using the conveyancing team at Dawson and Burgess (D&B). This is my experience. 1. Land Registry informed me that a charge on my property was not expedited until one month after my completion date on my purchase. I have brought this to D&B's attention after advice from The Law Society and am awaiting a response 2. Six months after my completion date, D&B sent me overdue documentation and a demand for £60 (not an invoice), saying that they had omitted to charge me this amount for a report 3. Staff on reception (with the exception of one young girl) and in the conveyancing team are rude, even when you are responding to questions FROM them. Note: I did not contact them constantly, allowing them to do their job but was still treated rudely 4. D&B do not use 'signed for' or 'recorded' delivery for any of their letters demanding money (I know - fancy that! A solicitor not being able to work that one out!)

Not recommend it! Selling house dragging forever because no respond and cooperation with buyers solicitor. Totally ignoring client with promise from reception that they call back, but no respond... not reading emails and have problem because buyers wanted resign from buying because of ignoring from D&B layer...

I am really happy with Dawson&Burgess and didn't expect such high standards. I would highly recommend these amazing people (especially Magdalena) as they had helped me out immensely.
