Reviews
Professional, Compassionate, and Highly Effective I’m deeply grateful to Freemans Solicitors for their outstanding support during my recent court case. From start to finish I felt genuinely cared for and guided. Peter Bedingfield was thorough in preparing me for the hearing and took the time to ensure I understood each step and felt calm and ready. His clear communication and professionalism made a big difference to my experience. Michael represented me in court with great clarity and composure. He handled everything with confidence and helped ease my anxiety during a high-stress situation. Thanks to their combined efforts, I received an outcome I know could have been a lot more serious. Their strategic and compassionate approach helped secure the most balanced result possible and I couldn’t have asked for better representation. I would wholeheartedly recommend Freemans Solicitors to anyone facing a difficult (or any) legal situation. Their support was exceptional.
I am deeply grateful to Katarzyna Jurkun and everyone at Freemans Solicitors for the unwavering support they provided to my family and me during a difficult time. Katarzyna's professionalism was remarkable, and her dedicated attention to our case was truly exceptional. I highly recommend Freemans Solicitors, and in particular, Katarzyna. Her expert guidance and support were absolutely essential, and I don't know how we would have managed without them.
Amazing service! A real personal touch. I was recently made redundant at my work. I knew I had protected rights as a pregnant employee. However Fab helped me through the negotiation process, he listened to my grievances and helped me articulate my responses to an unsympathetic employer. We challenged the initial offers made and got the best settlement deal which I was very pleased with in the end. it was a really tough time for me, I'm grateful for the support I was given by Fab and his firm. 5 stars!
Context: I used Freemans as my solicitors when trying to purchase my first property, the purchase fell through due to issues Freemans identified. From a legal perspective, I can't really fault them. They found issues with the lease, and dug their heels in when the seller tried to convince us that these weren't real issues. I have no legal training so it's hard to say with certainty, but it felt like they knew the law and had my best interests at heart. So why am I giving them a poor review? Because they were quite unprofessional when it came to day-to-day correspondence. Some examples of this: 1: They sent me a dense email with many bullet points, outlining the issues they had found. I sent an email summarising my understanding of their email in my own words, asking them to confirm I had understood correctly. I never got a response. When I called them like a week later to complain about this, I was essentially gaslit and told that their reading of that email was that it didn't require a response (which is simply ludicrous) 2: I once didn't get a response to an email for the best part of a week. It turned out my solicitor (who I'll be so kind as to not name by name) had taken a few days of annual leave (fair enough) and not notified me of this, not set an out-of-office email, and not arranged for any cover. When I followed up my email 5 days later (showing some dis-satisfaction at the lack of response), I got a curt "I was on annual leave", not even an apology 3: When my purchase fell through, and I then put an offer in on another flat, I emailed Freeman's for a quote (I wasn't happy with them, but I also thought given the legwork they had put in on the initial purchase, they might be faster/cheaper than starting from scratch). Firstly, everybody else I emailed for a quote got back to me within an hour, was emailing me over the weekend etc (as you'd expect when they're trying to get you as a client). Freeman's didn't respond for like 48 business hours. And when they did, they told me that it was unlikely any of the work done would be of use, and then somehow even wriggled out of saying a number. They asked for some extra information, which I provided, and I never heard back. This is a staggering level of incompetence that I've never witnessed before from any business, it's as if they didn't want my money. I suspect I just got unlucky with the solicitor I was assigned, but having worked as a consultant on customer day rates in the past, I was staggered by their extremely "chilled" attitude towards responding to emails. Can not recommend.
I’m a first time buyer and have just completed on a flat. Nathan Woodward was extremely knowledgeable and instrumental in getting the deal closed ahead of the stamp duty changes In April. He was very diligent, responsive over email and phone, and extremely professional. I’m leaving this review to encourage anyone to ask for his services should they be seeking to buy a property. Nathan is great and it’s been a pleasure working with him. Thanks again for the support Nathan - you’ve been a star!
