I had an excellent experience with Hannah Exton and her assistant Abigail Mitchell, who were recommended to me by my mortgage broker, while buying my first house. We started the process in early November and completed in January, which I was really impressed with. They were incredibly helpful, efficient, and professional from start to finish. Everything was handled quickly, and they always kept me fully informed at every stage of the process. What I really appreciated was how clearly they explained each next step, which made the whole experience stress-free and reassuring. I never felt worried or left wondering what was going on. I would highly recommend Hannah and Abigail to anyone, especially first-time buyers. Thank you both for making the process so smooth and straightforward!

We use Gilson Gray for conveyancing. I have to say, I thought the service was really poor. Gilson Gray were great at the start getting all the contract information and ensuring all the initial paperwork was spot-on. But from that point onwards communication was poor. I tried to keep communications between our Solicitors and our estate agents by doing a weekly email to check in on progress. Gilson Gray unfortunately never acknowledged any of these emails. Their paperwork was incorrect and contain mistakes, We asked for additional checks to take place and they completely ignore these. The company got defensive when we challenged them on these frustrations instead of owning them and working with us. It felt like they were working against us. Moving home is supposed to be an enjoyable fun experience Gilson Gray made it feel anxious and unsupportive. I had to complain three times in which the company acknowledge this, but I felt more of a pest then the company acknowledging errors in their processes. I feel they completely ruined the moving home experience for me, And the sad thing is, I don’t think they even care, they got their money in the end.

Avoid this company at all cost. Incompetent, unreachable and generally make the stress of selling a home worse than I’ve ever experienced across any home I have sold/bought. 6 months on from my estate agent instructing them and we are no way near an exchange date, they either don’t respond to emails or take forever to reply and replies come from different people every time (I’m upto 9 different people I’ve dealt with now). Never answer the phone, so updates are non existent. I was told enquires were sorted pre Xmas but to find now they still haven’t….if you are thinking of instructing the or your estate agent does on your behalf please take this review as a sign to change conveyancing company ASAP

Well, regrettably I have joined the 1 star review group! It appears you either get a great service from individuals or a terrible service. Our conveyancer is Maisie Baker and like all the other 1 star reviews she does not answer emails or telephone calls. She gives false information on the progress of the process. We have been going through this nightmare for 5 months on a property that is a cash buy with no chain, we mistakenly thought it would be easy! We too have missed completion dates & lost money because of this. I would advise that you avoid this company at all costs.

We are a first time buyers I would like to say thank you to Ben Waters for all the help and support with our application he is very friendly and supportive during the process making us feel confident we where with the right person to guide us during our house purchase, would like to say Ben always emailed and called for updates. Communication with Ben was amazing even when I called him eight times a day he still picked up and answered my calls Ben really supported us in every step, would highly recommend Ben he is a credit to Gilson Gray solicitor and definitely deserves a pay rise with a good promotion. Even after the house purchase has completed we are still in touch and is now supporting me with the final completion paperwork.
