When a lot of people are complaining about conveyancing solicitors these days, I can honestly say that I give full marks to Hafsa Umarji and Andrew Park at Lawrence Stevens Solicitors in London EC1. Hafsa has recently handled two property sales for me. Both quite challenging due to circumstances beyond our control. On both occasions Hafsa has been very helpful, extremely professional and communicated with me throughout the whole process without the need for me to chase. I have been very impressed with Hafsa. She is a true professional and easy to deal with. I would have no hesitation to recommend both Hafsa and Andrew to anyone looking for decent and proactive solicitors.

It is a great day today, finally completing on an investment property. It feels as though the path to this point was a muddy one with potholes but fortunately for me Sarah and Mikaehla have cheerfully pressed on, dealing with the issues as they came. Not having any great knowledge of the conveyancing process and lease hold properties is a handicap but they have patiently walked me thought it. I am not sure what the legal parlance is for hand holding, but that is what they did. I would say that I would be happy to use them again but in fact the next property is already coming down the tracks and I feel very much more centered knowing that I will do it with them. Great team!

My partner booked a meeting with Lawstep to get clarity on a document he needed help with. He met virtually with Gareth and Joe, but the experience was disappointing. Throughout the call, they came across as dismissive and unwilling to provide clear explanations about why certain laws applied, how they might affect him, or whether what he wanted was even possible. Instead of engaging constructively with his questions, they seemed frustrated, which came across as unprofessional and, frankly, unhelpful. What stood out most was that Gareth abruptly left the meeting before my partner had even finished, without so much as a proper goodbye. How people like this expect us to pay them and work with them when they behave like this is mind blowing. For a law firm handling sensitive and important matters, this behavior felt unprofessional and unsettling. I cannot recommend their services and will be seeking assistance elsewhere.

I have had a very good experience dealing with LAwrence Stephens. I hope to be able to use their services again soon. The case did take longer than expected to compklete, however well handeled by the team and the delay was out of anyones control. That is pretty much what you want from professionals.

I recently had a house purchase, had Nicole Chan as my solicitor from Lawrence Stephens. Nicole is very friendly and professional at the same time. She's very efficient and always reply or returning my emails/call in a timely matter. She made the whole process lot less stressful than I expected, and we able to achieve purchase completion within 3 month. I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone I known for a house purchase or sale.
