I had used Maria for a previous house purchase 5 years ago and had absolutely no hesitation in asking her to assist with my sale and purchase this time. In what proved to be a difficult move from Thame, Maria, and latterly Rowan, were brilliant throughout. My experience with Lightfoots Solicitors was absolutely awful. They dragged out my bridging loan unnecessarily and made the whole process far more stressful and expensive than it ever needed to be. Instead of requesting documents properly, they asked for them one by one, constantly coming back with “just one more thing.” This caused repeated delays and felt like a tactic to string the process along and rack up extra fees. There was no urgency, no clear communication, and no consideration for the time-sensitive nature of a bridging loan. I was messed around from start to finish, with zero transparency about costs or timelines. If you value your time, money, or sanity, I strongly recommend staying well away. One of the worst professional experiences I’ve ever had.
