I cannot recommend Emily Dunne highly enough. She has been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire mortgage and conveyancing process — consistently going above and beyond, and far exceeding my expectations. Her communication has been clear, timely, and reassuring at every stage, and she handled every detail with such care and professionalism. It made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. Emily's dedication, efficiency, and personal touch truly set her apart. I’m incredibly grateful for all her hard work and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again or recommend her to others.
We recently used Leading Property Lawyers for our sale and purchase, and I cannot thank them enough—especially Amy Khalid, who was absolutely outstanding throughout the whole process. Amy went above and beyond for us. She worked tirelessly, often putting in extra hours to make sure everything was completed smoothly and on time. Her dedication, professionalism, and clear communication made what could have been a very stressful experience so much easier. It was clear to us that Amy genuinely cared about our case and was determined to get us across the finish line. Her attention to detail and commitment gave us huge confidence, and we are so grateful for her hard work. I honestly believe Amy deserves special recognition—she is a real credit to Leading Property Lawyers. We would not hesitate to recommend her and the firm to anyone buying or selling a property.
My experience with LPL was consistently disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. Communication throughout the remortgage process was confusing, inconsistent, and often unclear. From the outset, I received emails from at least six different addresses — LPL, Onboarding, Initial Audit, Client Services 5, Support 17, and Team Remortgage — with no clear explanation that these were all part of the same company. In the current climate, where online impersonation and data security are major concerns, this fragmented communication felt unprofessional and made it difficult to know which messages were legitimate. Simple queries, such as a £30 discrepancy between the mortgage amount shown on my lender’s portal and the figure listed on LPL’s paperwork, required multiple follow-ups before I finally received an explanation. This kind of basic clarification should not take three separate emails. When it came to the final payment, I was not clearly informed that the lender might still take a payment that could later be refunded. Had I been given that information in advance, I could have budgeted appropriately and avoided unnecessary stress. Instead, I was left to chase clarity on what should have been a straightforward matter. Most concerningly, my completion statement included £164 in duplicated charges that had already been listed in the original quotation. In other words, the same fees appeared twice. Had I not noticed and queried the discrepancy, I would have overpaid — something many clients may easily overlook. This sort of error, especially when it involves client funds, is deeply troubling. At best it reflects a lack of care; at worst, it borders on dishonesty. The corrected statement was sent without apology or explanation, which did little to inspire confidence. When I raised these issues directly, LPL’s response was defensive and dismissive. Rather than acknowledging where their communication and processes had fallen short, I received a generic apology that did not address any of the specific points I’d made. Having since read other reviews, it’s clear my experience isn’t isolated. Many clients have reported similar concerns about unclear communication, delays, and poor customer support. While my case is now concluded, I would strongly advise anyone considering LPL to proceed with caution and read recent reviews before making a decision. Transparency, clarity, and accountability are essential when dealing with clients’ finances — and unfortunately, LPL fell short on all three in my experience.
As first time buyers, our experience has been fantastic with LPL. Charleigh has been such a big help throughout this process and we could not have asked for a better solicitor. She always responded promptly to our emails and followed up with communications to push our case forward, without any chasing needed from our end. Whenever we had any questions or felt lost throughout this process, she was always there to answer any questions and reassure us of any remaining steps we needed to complete. So happy we decided to go with LPL solicitors and we would again!
I have been extremely disappointed with the service from LPL Solicitors. I have used them for a sale and purchase, both transactions have been handled poorly from start to finish. I am currently dealing with Alice and struggle to get replies to email chasers and any kind of update. The process is taking much longer than needed and definitely would not recommend on any occasion. As a mortgage broker I understand the process and have even referred clients to the firm prior to working with them directly. My case is still yet to complete and am left with no other choice but to start with the complaints procedure due to the lack of communication and willingness to help.
