Reviews
Wells family mediation were great. Jane our mediation understood the needs of myself and my husband and our children being the priority. She helped us deal with what was a difficult process and this was done smoothly and seamlessly. Thanks for all your support. Thanks Ashleigh
I couldn’t recommend Wells Family Mediation highly enough! They supported us through what was an incredibly difficult and upsetting process with kindness, consideration, knowledge and support. We managed to get to a resolution very quickly with Helen, who was brilliant at maintaining our focus, listening to both parties and ensuring we came to an outcome that was fair for both of us, and encouraged us to maintain a positive and healthy Co parenting relationship. Divorce is never easy, but if it is inevitable you want the best team to help navigate your way through it to limit the damage done, and Wells Family Mediation are an incredible team that will do just that.
I would highly recommend Wells Family Mediation for providing a supportive, impartial approach whilst prioritising the needs of the children. Helen was skilfully able to help us arrive at a solution by identifying realistic options within a controlled environment so that we both felt listened to and were confident in the decisions we made .
Avoid this mediation team at all costs. After a terrible experience with my initial mediator who didn’t remain unbiased and broke confidentiality I was assigned two new mediators. The mediation between my ex partner and I was not controlled and time was not allocated fairly. Within the 90 minutes zoom meeting I recorded I had 35 minutes of their time and my ex partner had 55 minutes with the mediators. The session turned into somewhat of a ‘bitch fest’ with personally comments being used to attack me. Ultimately, after 90 minutes nothing was resolved or had the potential to be resolved. The most alarming concern is they state that they are a child focus practice. However, the whole agenda during the zoom meeting was to push access no matter of the safeguarding concerns I raised surrounding my ex partner; even an incident involving a knife being shown to his eldest son that then got hidden under the bed. Let alone the other concerns I have around drug and alcohol abuse and unsafe parenting. I was spoken down to and felt undermined; at one point Helen asked me if I was aware of case studies which highlight the damaging effects to children who didn’t have their father in their life. I think I will continue to be the judge of what influences I want in my sons life. The main item I wanted discussed which was about continuing to keep a warm and safe roof over my sons head made all of five minutes of the conversation. Once again, so much for their child focus practice. They clearly do not have the child’s best interests at heart and favour the client who initially made contact with their incompetent mediation centre. Appalling service from start to end.
Not a good experience. Unprofessional and frankly disastrous for me in the end. I wanted shuttle mediation but was not allowed it and even charged for the extra room on one occasion even though it was not used. Way too much time spent on tedious updating of spreadsheets which didn't even work properly. Actual important financial matters practically ignored. Some items even written as liabilities instead of assets. Hardly any time allocated to actual negotiations. Sometimes bad behaviour was not challenged. Mediation had to be abandoned and matter is now going to court which is not what either party wanted.
